I have a feeling I will be picking up and reading book three sooner rather than later. As mentioned in the review for the 1st book in this series, I don't typically read a series back to back if subsequent books exist. This series has proven to be one of the rare exceptions. It's the damn cliffhangers. And book two did it to me again.
This second installment flowed nicely, the characters are great and the story is intriguing and doesn't feel copied or fan fic like. I don't read much in the way of scifi military, or any military driven stories for that matter so I don't state that with authority.
Book three is downloaded and waiting for me. I am going to finish the pirate story I started first but then off I will go on further adventures with Pace and his team.

Intelligently written characters that evolve in a gripping action setting!
An excellent, Page-turning continuation of the first book. The characters are alive and nuanced. They evolve with the events and circumstances they are faced with, which lends to an emotive, well told story with plenty of humor and action. I found myself angry, laughing aloud, and a bit choked up in some "scenes." While there is plenty of action and fierce moments, we get to know the diverse group of characters more deeply as these stories progress and I feel invested in what happens next. THIS is good writing!!
The end has me rampaging for the next book!! This series is definitely captivating!!

Awesome from cover to cover
Another excellent story with a great pace! Not only does it have a lot of edge of your seat action, the story is just awesome with characters that you can't help but fall in love with! My overall review for this book is BOOYAH!!!!

Fighting aliens👽 and monsters👹 are one thing, but fighting reanimated dead people💀 is even worse! Ends in a massive cliffhanger.😲

Book #2 in a continuing saga . Should be read in order.
