Lots of drama and suspense

This book starts off with a bang and the suspense just keeps you turning pages. I really did enjoy the read although I did feel some parts were a little wordy in the build up where tension between characters was involved.

The characters were well developed and the female lead was awesome. It was nice to read a book with a strong female lead that could stand on her own two feet beside her man rather than be a doormat to a man which seems to be a popular type these days.

The suspense/drama/spice level was just amazing! Figuratively this was a nail biter for me since I don’t bite my nails. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. This was a book I wanted to fly through but had to force myself to slow down so I wouldn’t miss anything important! Wonderful read and LOVE that ending! Definitely made my heart so happy 😁.

I loved the way Freya and Leon’s relationship developed and they learned so much from each other Their hearts fell in love before their minds. Their love scenes together were amazing! This book was definitely a good one. It keeps you guessing or on the edge of your seat throughout. It was spicy and the sexual tension and attraction was immediate. I definitely enjoyed the story of Freya and Leon. I am so happy how it ended and that there wasn't a cliff hanger. I'm interested to see what the next book in the series is about.

FMC didn't shy away from the adventure of her lifetime (even if she accidentally stumbled upon it). The MMC understood that she was innocent and wanted to protect her. It was a good mafia story and one that I hadn't come across yet. The idea of them being on the run and trying to clear his name was fun. I will say that this book felt LONG though 😅

Exciting beginning but too much narration. Freya's POV is written with a humorous slant, which isn't all that amusing to me. I get that she's thrown into a world that is utterly foreign to her, but is she that naive? "The idea of a Mafia group having its tentacles in law enforcement is an obvious one but it still makes me feel...icky." (insert eye roll) DNF

This entertaining and enjoyable Mafia Romance has drama, danger, steam, and suspense. The MCs are defined, likable, and have chemistry. I liked this engaging read.
