No sé si alguien me lee con frecuencia, pero quien lo haga ya debe estar al tanto de que estoy totalmente entregada a la práctica del italiano. Este libro lo compré hace bastante tiempo y lo perdí entre los montones desperdigados por la casa: lo encontré por casualidad y me confirmo en que estas lecturas adaptadas pueden ser muy útiles, pero se me quedan muy cortas. Tienen muy pocas páginas y por tanto suelen ser bastante sencillas, sin lugar para ningún tipo de desarrollo. Es así cómo un periodista obeso pero estiloso come muy bien en Siena, se codea con la nobleza y resuelve un homicidio, deprisa y sin tener que hacer laboriosas deducciones.

Prefiero seguir con novelas más enjundiosas, aunque tarde mucho más.

I enjoyed it, although the crime was easy enough to solve. The vocabulary seemed very complicated, especially in the final part which 'explains' the Palio in Sienna. The explanations of vocabulary are very arbitrary. I understood most of the words that get a footnote, but many that didn't were completely unknown.

It's obviously intended for people who are learning Italian with a teacher, because there are no answers for the exercises. These aren't too difficult, though.

Overall i enjoyed the mystery and the intrigue, despite all the eating before deciding anything. I get why that was mentioned so much but it didn't improve the plot.
For vocabulary maybe a little too much unnecessary terms, but in general it was a valuably spent time.
