This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the 5th book in the Shotgun Mafia. I have read the first five books in this series before picking up this book. This is not a Mafia book, but this book does get darker than the other books in this series. This is the start of Dylan and Lara's romance, and I took a little bit to get used to following a new set of characters. This book had drama, romance, action, and suspense. After, I got pulled into this book and these new characters I enjoyed this book.
High fashion meet delicious cowboy: Lara and Dylan are old friends and they are attracted to each other. He’s in Paris to further his culinary skills and being close to Lara makes it a win win situation especially if he can talk her into coming home. Lara won’t let herself pursue Dylan: her mother is a pain, her job is never ending, and she’s met an interesting man.
Sky Coppola keeps the story at an adrenaline high pace with mystery, intrigue, and kidnapping. The ordeal is physically, emotionally, and sexually difficult for Lara and Dylan: a sex tape, beatings, and repeated escape attempts take a horrible toll on them. This ends on a cliffhanger with Dylan headed back to the states and Lara in the sights of a madman.

That’s it. I’ve officially given up on this series. Book 4 left on a huge cliffhanger, and then she starts a whole new series that has no relevance to the book so far. If I didn’t know any better, I think this was written by 10 different people and I’ll be dumped in together. I am curious as hell about Atlas, but I’m over it.
In the first four books we discovered Carter and Destiny's story so we are moving onto Dylan and Lara's story. They may have grown up on adjoining ranches, but her parents divorced while she was young with her mother going to Paris becoming a world famous fashion designer. Eventually, Lara joined her mother in Paris going to work with her even though she was a hard task master finding fault with practically everything Lara did. When she left Wyoming she took Dylan's heart with her. He held out hope that she would one day return to her father's ranch, but he had opened his own business called the "Barn" which was a restaurant/bar, and venue for special occasions. A chef from Paris had visited, and she had invited him to visit her restaurant, so he was braving an airplane for the first time to fly to Paris to study French cuisine and hopefully see Lara while he was there. Dylan continues to search for his place to truly belong ever since his mother dropped him and sister off at his uncle's when he was three never to return. Lara's wants any sign of approval from her mother instead of being cut to the quick for everything she tries to do. Dylan and Lara discovered a friend in the Paris countryside in the form of a lonely farmer that comes to their aid not once but twice when criminals cause problems on a road trip. Dylan's in the hot seat now with the criminal element with no end in sight as they did not get the head of the snake. Enjoy the beautiful countryside of France as the action unfolds. The suspense, mystery, and intrigue will keep you on the edge of your chair, but be ware it ends in a cliffhanger.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. Lara Bain is in France working for her mother at her very successful fashion house. She can get the job done, but is she happy? She misses her life and Wyoming. She is forcing herself to make a go of this life. She meets someone, Trent., and decides to give him a serious try. Trent seems to be messing with her and leading her on. But leading her to where?
Not only is Lara’s mom coming up with unreachable goals, Dylan McClintock is coming to France and wants to see her. Their first meeting is one for the books and things get even crazier after that. Lara and Dylan have history. She doesn’t have time for Dylan this time around, but her body wants something different.
This book is predominantly a back and forth between Lara and Dylan. Both dealing with past traumas and running away from what is right of them. Will they give into the feelings? Dylan is going back to Wyoming. It’s not worth starting anything with him, right?
The drama doesn’t start up until the end. This drama will definitely throw readers for a loop. I was trying to just read a little before bed. I got to that part and stayed up until I finished the whole book. Sky knows how to have readers on edge and keep them there. Both Dylan and Lara are in the Savage series. Carter and Tanner Caldwell are even mentioned in this book. This book opened up a whole new world and hooked me just like Sky’s Savage series did.
Reckless Deeds is super intense! Main character Dylan is beautifully built and so clearly in love with main character Lara. It’s evident from the get go that she’s it for him, and he would die to protect her. It’s also evident that she is afraid of getting to close to him for her own feelings are there as well. Their intense past is hinted at many times, and yet I feel like there are big gaps missing…keeping readers glued to the page. I had a really hard time connecting with main character Lara; she is very self-centered, snippy, many times hurtful, and sometimes downright rude. She keeps you guessing and on your toes for sure. This book is very well-written, but it’s nothing like the first four books in the series, so it’s almost like starting a brand new series with its own complexities. There are some fascinating plot twists, and the villains are very villainous. Can’t wait to see where the author takes us next!

I'm still getting into Mafia books, but Sky Coppola definitely knows how to draw me in and love the genre with each book.
This is book 5 in the Shotgun Mafia series! It was filled with spicy scenes, a great romance, and interesting characters. This book takes us into Dylan and Lara's story, and it is just as gripping as the ones before. The history the two have, the emotions they bring, and the chemistry make it a book you don't want to put down.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am voluntarily reviewing it. I got sick after reading so my review is coming late but it was great to re-read the series while sick.

The next installment of the Shotgun Mafia series. Dylan has traveled to Paris to find Lara Bain, a woman he has loved since they were kids. Lara wants out of the fashion industry and feels the Dylan it the way out.
The criminals are hot on Dylan's trail and the drama really kicks up towards the end. This ends on a cliffhanger, the series should be read in order.

While this was my favourite book so far in the Shotgun Mafia series, why the heck was Destiny’s name changed to Andrea? I know this book isn’t about Destiny and Carter, but I was literally questioning my memory and wondering if Carter found a new woman. If someone has an answer I’d love to hear it.
Lara is a wonderful fashion designer and her mom just got on my nerves. She needs a chill pill or something. Dylan is wanting to take his home town restaurant to the next level but I think he wants more.
