Does Bigfoot exist and is he living in Blue River Ridge park? The intrepid Gracie and her cousins are visiting during school break with their dads. When they come across claw marks high up a tree, the legend of Bigfoot gets discussed around a campfire, with every background noise sending shivers down their spines. Gracie and her troop set out to investigate and uncover more evidence of the mythical beast.
This is a nice tale of a family camping trip with mystery and age-appropriate frights. The tale contains kids with diversity of behaviours and emotions, providing some fun discussions between them.
I enjoyed the book but felt a better resolution to behaviour issues was missed, rewarding somebody undeservedly. Perhaps that is real life, but I’d like more in a story for kids.
When Gracie goes on a camping trip with her friends and family, she is a little disappointed that she couldn’t do the spa day instead. As Gracie and Beckett explore the campsite they see huge claw marks in the tree. What could possibly have made those huge marks that high up? When they meet Mr Hadley, a documentary filmmaker, they join in the hunt to explore and discover what made the marks. The book is really cute and definitely keeps your attention. My granddaughter loved reading it with me and I would definitely check out more by this author.
I really enjoyed this book. We go camping with Gracie, her family and friends. At the beginning Gracie is upset about missing her spa day, but that soon changes when they are exploring the campsite and discover strange, huge marks on a tree! I don't want to give to much more away, so please, grab this cute adventure and read with your kids. It will have you all enjoying the adventure together.
Enjoyed by my 11 and 10yr old! A quick mystery about Gracie and her friends who are trying to uncover the truth about the recent Bigfoot sightings, during a camping trip. This was our first time reading a book from the Amazing Gracie series. We were definitely able to enjoy this most recent release without starting at the beginning of the series.
