Heather Bellarose is happier than she has been in a long time. Returning to Cave River, Arizona, and reconnecting with her sisters has filled a void she hasn’t realized she’s been missing. However, nothing is ever perfect.
Her sixteen-year-old daughter doesn’t like her for moving them away from Seattle. Then Brady, Heather's ex, moves to Cave River, stirring up all kinds of mixed emotions. Their relationship is complicated at best. Heather isn’t sure she can trust him not to leave her again.
Nothing can be simple, especially when the boarding house burns down, and Brady has to stay at the Bellarose mansion.
Heather puts him in the farthest room from hers, of course.
The evil warlock who is set on buying up the whole town is causing chaos. Cate is cursed, and Heather and Rae work to break it all the while running the cat cafe and fulfilling their duties outlined in their grandfather’s will.
Losing her heart to her ex-husband for the second time isn’t the only thing Heather has to worry about. She and her sisters must save the entire town.

Heather Bellarose is happy being back in Dave River with her sisters. She hadn’t realized how much she had missed them. But her daughter, Allie, is not pleased with moving here. However, there was no choice since she had to live here for a year and work at the family cat cafe with her sisters to inherit everything their grandfather left them. They also got their magical powers through being here. Now Heather watched Allie and her ex-husband Brady coming down the driveway after just returning from Brady’s mother’s funeral in Seattle. With Brady moving here too, his cold attitude seemed to be changing, more like the man she had married. Heather and Allie’s cousins all ran out to greet her. Allie ignored Heather’s open arms and ran to hug her cousins. It was going to take time for her to adjust, it seemed.
This time, Heather didn’t want Brady to leave and invited him for coffee. Heather still didn’t know if she could ever trust him again with her heart. But he surprised her and apologized for the way he had acted. Until his mom died, he hadn’t realized what it must have felt like when Heather’s dad died. Brady didn’t know how much Heather needed him then and he had left her. But when the boarding house is destroyed in a fire, he has no alternative other than remaining at the Bellarose mansion at the sisters’ invitation. Would he and Heather have a chance to get closer? Or was she still very cautious about starting something up with him? How would they keep their magic hidden from him while dealing with an evil warlock trying to buy the entire town? And Heather and Rae are diligently trying to break a curse on Cate and continue to manage the cat café. Now more than ever they must follow the stipulations of their grandfather’s will. The town is depending on them! Will they become strong enough to deal with the evil that surrounds them?
Oh my! Picking up hot on the heels of the first book, this one left me wanting to say more bad words, very loudly. I hate to admit, my brain still hasn’t completely connected the name with the right Bellarose with the correct familial tie, but that hasn’t changed how much I’m falling in love with this family. I feel like the opposition may have come out ahead in this round, but I know the ladies aren’t going to let him bask in his believed victory for long. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
This is book two of the Bellarose Cat Café and the three sisters are beginning to settle down into their new roles, running the cat café and living together in their family home. Heather, Cate and Rae found they suddenly had magic when they came back to Cave River, Arizona, after their powers were bound when they were younger to avoid the same fate as their ancestors, all single female children. Their Aunt Fiona is a spirit in the house and makes her opinion made when needed. Heather hated taking her daughter Allie (16) away from all her friends in Seattle, but her father Brady, her ex-husband had moved to Cave River to be close to her. At least Allie has her cousins Jules and Cece, to be with and that sees to help a bit. Heather’s relationship with Brady is not on the best of terms, with her being deeply hurt by his treatment of her after her father died, not understanding the effect grief had on her. Having just come back from Seattle after the death of his own mother, he comes to apologise to Heather, finally realising how badly he treated her before their divorce. He is staying at the local boarding house and having him around is making Cece miss her own father quite a bit. The sisters are trying to buy the parcel of land their grandfather had first option for before his death, and which is really important to keep out of the hands of people like evil warlock Avior Sekias, who has been trying to buy up lots of the town. The wooded land behind Bellarose Manor is home to a large community of fairies and the warlock wants to subjugate them to his control and destroy the legacy of the Bellarose’s.
To buy the land, the sisters are relying on their inheritance which they will get if they all stay in town for a full year together, but they are also setting up fundraising ideas to help raise the last bit they will need. The warlock however is doing all he can to stop them! Cate is getting flustered by the mayor, Nick Blake, who comes out and asks her on a date, which she finally accepts. Whilst Rae is finding an unwanted attraction to the town’s detective, Gavin Lockhart, whose mind she can easily read and he is broadcasting how much he likes her and wants to ask her out, something she is finding harder than ever to keep ignoring. Cate finally accepts a dinner date with Nick at his house, but just outside his home she spots a Siamese cat stuck in a tree and tries to help it get down. Soon she is racing home, worse for wear and she finds out from her Aunt Fiona that she has been cursed! She cannot interact with anything starting with the letter ‘s’, nor hear anyone say a word starting with it either, or else she comes out in painful and itchy hives. As far as anyone knows, the curse has never been broken and now she can’t even bake at the café, as she can’t use the stove or anything else, and customers would also pick up her curse in some way if they eat her baked goods. Not good! Nick still wants to reschedule their date, but they can’t tell him of the curse. Heather spots Nick taking to the warlock and shaking hands, which seems very odd. Nothing is making sense and their sisters are clearly missing something, as a series of calamities befalls them all, including the café which has descended into chaos from a trio of Siamese cats, the boarding house burning down and Brady moving into the house with them all. Brady seems to be making some huge moves to be nice to Heather and make amends for the past, and Heather is finding herself attracted to the man she first married. So much going on and the sisters must work hard to stop the warlock destroying the whole town! I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Heather and her sisters come home in the first book and find out that they are witches and all about the power of three. Each of them has a daughter and they too are witches, each with a special power. They came home because their grandfather died and they need to stay at the home together for a year and work at the family’s cat cafe a certain amount of time to gain their inheritance. A lot of stuff goes down in the first book and continues into this book.
Heather is drawn back to her ex-husband, Brady and her teen age daughter doesn’t know what to do about that. Aunt Fiona is a ghost and stuck there to help out with the curse that is on the family. All of the women die pre-50 years old. The sisters are trying to find a way to buy the neighboring land because it has the portal to Faery there and if something happens to that- magic will die in the town, etc.
Cate and the Mayor are drawn to each other and as the eldest, her daughter is going to school to become a dr. I found Julie to be awesome. Rae worked in Hollywood with the stars and since she is away, a lot of them are leaving her to find someone else to take care of them. Rae is the youngest of the sisters and Gavin the cop has the hots for her and vice versa. Cece is Rae’s daughter and she is a pre-teen and can see magical auras and has lots of fun with the fairies. Things happen and get really bad in this book. I was so scared for the sisters and the kids. I knew something was going on with that darn nasty warlock. He is almost as bad as Voldemort. And like him. I refuse to say his name. Rather call him Volde. Lol.
I chewed on my nails in worry in this book and I can’t wait to read the next one. So there are three romances going on, on top of all the freaky witchy woo woo stuff.

The Bellarose sisters, Cate, Heather, & Rae, are bonding and getting a handle on their powers, as well as trying to figure out their feelings towards the men in their lives. Cate is considering a date with Mayor Nick, Heather’s not sure if she can trust ex-husband, Brady, despite his apologies, & Rae is distracted by detective Gavin. But with evil warlock Avior Sekias still in town, as well as the attitudes of teen cousins Allie & CeCe, romance is on the back burner.
Things start going haywire when Cate is hit with a doozy of a curse. Any word starting with a particular letter sends her into a fit of scratching & hives. While the family scrambles to find ways to avoid that letter, Cate must stay clear of the cafe. Then Brady’s boardinghouse burns down and he moves in with the sisters. Now they have to keep their powers hidden as well as Aunt Fiona’s ghostliness. Researching a cure and keeping the cafe running is keeping everyone on their toes.
When a friend is seen acting strangely, Heather & Brady investigate. Next thing they know, they are taken captive & learn all is not as it seems. But you’ll have to wait until book 3 to see how it turns out.
By turns funny and heart wrenching. Told from the alternating perspectives of the Bellarose sisters. A page-turner that will have you reaching for the next volume in the series.

Great character development as the Bellarose saga continues!
The Bellarose sisters are looking to save their town as oddities show themselves like the leaves turning brown and grass dying when they both should be lush and green. Buying the property attached to their land is tantamount as saving the faeries is the goal of the entire Cave River’s magical community. If something happens to the faeries causing them to perish, the whole town will follow. Knowing that the town has an enemy in a warlock bent on purchasing the property, the Bellarose ladies must work together to make sense of what’s happening to their town while also dealing with their own personal lives dealing with their daughters who also have magical powers as well as navigating their relationships; Heather learning that Brady is sorry for how he’s dealt with her in the past, divorcing her and splitting up their family yet wanting to reconcile, Cate who’s dealing with being cursed while also being clearly attracted to the mayor who potentially may not be who he appears to be, and lastly, the youngest sister Rae, who is attracted to Detective Gavin, but is also dealing with her daughter who also wants her undivided attention that she’s never received before moving to Cave River. I can’t wait to read more as this saga continues!
This is Book 2 of Bellarose Cat Cafe starring Heather Bellarose, sixteen year old daughter Allie, Cate, Rae and her ex husband Brady. Holly peanuts Batman this one is full of surprises and a few tricks. That ending will give you the need to keep turning pages. This one will have you wanting to smack Brady at the last chapter for sure and a few times in between too. I loved that the man tries to make his ex wife happy but come on man take it slow and not everything is about you. I loved how the sisters relationship is stronger now and that they each are happy and their daughters are all getting along great. I can not wait for the next book and this one will leave you with questions as to how that wizard did all the little things that could not be possible.

Being close to her family again makes our heroine happy, but between her upset daughter, her ex showing up and an evil wizard, our heroine has her hands full.
This is book two of the series, but it is written as a standalone. All the essential bits are covered early on.
This is a cozy witch mystery. I am rather fond of this genre and am always happy to check out a new series. The story is well written and easy to read with a intriguing and diverse cast as well as a fun setting. The story itself moves at a good pace and includes plenty of action, intrigue and humor to keep things interesting. Overall, I enjoyed this addition to the series and look forward to seeing where it goes next.
Highly recommended.

This book focuses more on the middle sister, Heather. She has struggled with her teenager daughter that is currently living with her, and now that her ex-husband is also living in town, she is getting confused. Brady wants to get back together with her, but Heather isn’t sure that it isn’t her newly discovered powers doing that… and she is still angry with him for how their relationship ended. Add in that the evil sorcerer seems to be doing something super shady, Heather is determined to figure out what he is doing and how the mayor also seems to be part of it now.
This was a great story, and I loved reading every minute of it.

Heather and her sisters do not have a moments peace with all the things the have to spread their time on. Her daughter is still upset about leaving Seattle but her dad also lives here now, so that may help. The magic is growing, the evil wizard is showing his tricks, and the Cat Cafe is keeping them busy, too. Love this series, the characters and animals. The storyline grabs you from the start so hang on tight. Lots of drama, danger, a cursed Cate, twists, revelations, secrets, her ex moving into the manor, and more keeps the pages turning. Can not wait to read the next book.

'Losing her heart to her ex-husband for the second time isn’t the only thing Heather has to worry about. She and her sisters must save the entire town.'
The characters carried the story and they were so very appealing and complex and complicated and absolutely perfect together. Plot evolves and hooks the reader. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

The magical mystery continues as the Bellarose sisters come to terms with discovering they are witches and have magical gifts. This time around we get to focus more on Heather's story and middle sister adventures. Be warned we end again on another cliff hanger so have book 3 at the ready to discover the final part of the trilogy adventure. Lots of ups and downs like most cozy paranormal mysteries and enjoyable, light hearted, fun read in this series with good character ensemble, humour, family drama and dynamics, sisterly bonding, magical adventures and a lovely side line of romantic relationship ups and downs. Lovely series of paranormal magic mystery adventures.

In Boo 2 of the Bellarose Sisters Saga the three sisters and their daughters learn more about their individual magic, but also find possible romantic interests. But can they trust their feelings? They also have to fight a curse and find out, who did the cursing. The book continues in the same style as Book 1, Secret Witches. It is entertaining, partly very funny, partly with serious undertones - and ends in a serious cliff-hanger. I am looking forward to Book 3.

The three sisters are back in Suspicious Wizards, book two in the Bellarose Cat Café series and it picks up where book one left off. In this book we get more of Heather's story, family drama, an ex who wants her back, and her newly discovered powers. On top of all that, there is a curse to figure out. There's a lot going on in this book. From the entertaining storyline and interesting characters to the curse, magic and that cliffhanger ending this is a great addition to the series. I can't wait to read the next book to find out how this series ends. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
The Bellarose witches are learning about their powers and trying to raise the money to buy the property they need. Unfortunately, Cate gets cursed, Heather’s ex is in town and living with them, Rae is avoiding the smitten detective, and the mayor is acting very suspicious. So - things are getting crazy for the witches of Cave River. I read this whole thing in one sitting and can’t wait to start the next one.

Part two of Cate, Heather, and Rae, their daughters, and other family members as they struggle against an evil warlock determined to drive them out of town, acquire the Bellarose mansion, eliminate the fairies, and bring evil magic to Cave River. A curse has fallen on Cate that is demoralizing her and the family. It has spread to the Cat Cafe, causing extensive destruction. Friends seem to be betraying their trust in them. Can the curse be ended and the cafe saved?
Suspicious Wizards: A Paranormal Women's Fiction Cozy Mystery is book #2 in the Bellarose Cat Cafe series by L.A. Boruff.
Wow! There’s a lot going on with the 3 sisters, their daughters and the me that want to be in their women’s lives. I couldn’t put this down. I feel bad for Cate and what she’s dealing with. I was shocked at how the book ended and cannot wait for the next one!

This is the second book in the series and it is really intriguing to read all of the new drama that is happening to the cat cafe. A sinister warlock is out to drive the family out of town and we will have to see if he will be able to accomplish or will the family band together to save the cat cafe and the town.

This is the second book in the Bellarose Cat Cafe series and builds on the mystery of the town and the powers of sisters. It also brings a new dimension to the situation that is really unique. I will never look at the letter "S" the same way again. I am looking forward to the next book in the series since this one does end on a cliffhanger.

Yes, I think this story talks about a lot of things, but the one I liked more was the bonding between sisters, obviously the magic touch, and the mistery and romance make it even more interesting.
Can´t wait for reading book 3, and the first book too, if I have the chance!.

Heather is impatiently waiting for Brad to arrive with Allie. She was deeply hurt when Brad divorced her after her father's death. Now that her grandfather has also passed away, Heather has to live in Cave River for a year to receive her inheritance. She is happy to get closer to Allie during this time. This story has some action and romance, ending with a cliffhanger. Very highly recommended.

The Bellarose clan are beginning to get a better handle on their powers. Unfortunately with Avior Sekias still in town, their romance lives are not first in importance. Mothers and daughters are bonding. Entertaining, funny with some seriousness. Cliffhanger!.

Heather is enjoying her new town, home, life and being with her sisters but of course things are not quite as rosy as she had hoped and trouble comes knocking as she must deal with wizards and her ex-husband. Made me laugh and groan as Heather and her family deals with everything happening. Had to see what Heather would do about her ex and her daughter.
Suspicious Wizards is book 2 of the series. It continues with the story of the 3 Bellarose sisters getting used to their powers, their romantic interests & dealing with the curse that spread to the Bellarose Cat Cafe. Glad I read book 1 first & I’ll definitely read book 3 to see how the series ends for the sisters. I received this book from Book Sprout & am leaving an honest review.

So enjoyable and fun! I read the first book a while ago, but it took me no time at all to get into it again. Where book 1 was mostly Cate, this book is mostly Heather. And I felt the whole story was quite exciting, and very entertaining!
This second installment of the series was well written and kept me laughing from start to finish thanks to the entertaining characters. I can't wait to see what this talented trio have in store for us next.
