A perfect portrayal of Bipolar.

This is a very well done piece of the personality of a bipolar woman. It cycles through both her manic and depression stages and it does it masterfully. There are other disorders that are added to this character, like multiple personality disorder which I found interesting, and a vivid sex addition. At times I felt the extensive sex speech was a bit much and unnecessary, but overall a great story about the life and hardship this bipolar woman faced. I have close experience with those who suffer from Bipolar and if you've ever been curious about how their mind works, this is an excellent fiction read. There were a couple different scenarios that played in my head for how this was going to end. The character has been leading up to a conclusion the entire time, and so I was hoping that wouldn't make it predictable and imagined a few different ways it could end. I didn't get the twist I hoped for at the end, but the epilogue more than made up for it with a wonderful way to close out the book.

I've read the older version and this newer version. I prefer this newer one. It satisfied me as a reader better. Snowden takes us into two worlds: the world of a mentally ill bipolar woman and the world of sexual addiction. The readers feels like they are manic or depressed and one understands how the world of sexual addiction played into that mental illness. If you want a fascinating five hours as Lee goes through her house waiting on her ex to get off work so she can lure him to her place in order to murder him, this is the book to read. Things in the house trigger her memories and fuel her desire to kill him, love him, forgive him, kill herself, or take an extra dose of sleeping pills to sleep it off and forget everything.
