In these recent surpassing years, privacy as a core element started alluring the considerable highlight in competition arena and majorly with respect to the mergers in digital regime. Competition authorities keeping scenario of big entities mergers i.e. Facebook/WhatsApp, Microsoft/LinkedIn and Google/DoubleClick, started designing remedies for the effective incorporation of Privacy as a non-price competition parameter.

This book basically provides the critical analysis of big entities mergers along with the data presentation upon the merger’s control notification within the regime of EUs of year 2020. The author has put deeper analysis upon the unlawful accumulation of Whatsapp's user data by the Facebook through visual representation of ‘default setting’
criteria.
The author significantly put reliance over the integration of ‘data privacy’ in competition assessment through normative discussion upon two crucial angle i.e. Theories of Harm and Turnover-based Threshold, where the author respectively discusses significantly upon the setting down a set threshold for enabling the merging entities fall within the ambit of merger review and observing the quality of data privacy by the undertakings as a part of competition assessment and rational behind holding market position.

The author lays down the discussions upon the ‘models of the data control’ in conclusion of mergers within competition regime, elaborately discussing upon the controlling of user’s data mechanism through consent, default and others. The author descriptively emanating the comparison of privacy consideration in merger’s control of EU’s vis-a-vis China and US through 3 angles inclusive of, Legal Framework, Concept of Control and Jurisdictional Threshold.
In Lase segment of the book, the author proposing the designing of remedies vis-à merger control interlinked with privacy consideration by bifurcating the proposal into three phases i.e. Merger based competition issues, Remedies incorporated with data privacy and Collaboration with specific experts of data privacy and protection aiming designing remedies.
