Human After All by Kate Margaret Bigalk is a Collection of Poetry written between 1998 to 2006. This book divided into two parts, namely 'poetry of my past' and 'funny pages'.

The poems are mostly about Life, Struggle and humans perspective and feelings. I enjoyed this book very much. The Author's observation about her challenges, the humorous way she portroys it, wonderful. The Author even included the funny pages, contains her imaginary comedy routine, which I absolutely loved.

Author's view of life, her thoughtfulness and her positivity reflect in every one of her poems and should really be appreciated. My Favourite poems are Mocking Bird, Love Is…, Happiness Is…, Feather, Women and I Write.

I would highly recommend this book to everyone who loves poetry.

Some of my favourite lines are:

"The old friends who said they would always be there, No longer come around"

"Everyone Else is Laughing
When can I?"

"Do not be afraid that your life will end,
be afraid that it will never begin"

I enjoyed this book! And it struck me how genius it was for the author to include her own Funny Pages - essentially excerpts of a potential comedy act - in her book. Such a great way to get content out there!

Unexpected humor and hope

The poet’s generous heart and humorous observations challenge her readers to become open and more sensitive. Some of the poems written 25 years ago reflect a childlike wonder. Others capture your heart and must be shared! All of them put life in perspective.
