This is an exhaustive work on the migration of Hungarians to Texas. There were several waves of immigrants: the ones who came before 1848, the ones who came due to the revolution of 1848-49, the ones who came due to economic privations between 1870 and 1914, and those who came in the wake of World War II and the unrest in 1956. The author describes the lives of many of these immigrants and their contributions to Texas.
