Hello Jaynie!

Rate this book
Sometimes rock bottom is just the beginning...
Jill thought digging through the freezer for a 30-pound turkey was her breaking point. Her husband Nate’s obsession with hosting the "biggest Thanksgiving ever" has left her cold—literally—and questioning everything about their marriage. But when Nate ends up in the hospital after a turkey-related mishap, and Jill is downsized from her job, things go from bad to worse.
Enter Jaynie—Jill’s fabulously wealthy, slightly unhinged friend who writes a fluffy advice column for the local paper. When Jaynie ditches town for a ski trip, she hands the reins to Jill. But what begins as a temporary favor turns into something bigger when Jill starts adding her own honest, heartfelt take on life, love, and all the chaos in between. The column explodes in popularity—and so does Jill’s confidence.
Meanwhile, from his hospital bed, Nate begins reading the column—and the letters pouring in. To Jill’s surprise, he offers thoughtful, compassionate insights that show a depth she thought had long vanished. As the two reconnect through the advice of strangers, Jill begins to see the man she once fell in love with... and maybe something even better.
Warm, witty, and refreshingly real, Hello Jaynie! is a story about second chances, finding your voice, and discovering that love can grow in the most unexpected places.

Linda C. Wright was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. She will always be a Buckeye at heart. Linda has always had a story in her head and as a child loved to write plays for the neighborhood kids to perform for anyone who would watch. A favorite photo is of her fourth-grade class dressed in paper grocery bags performing the end of year play she created. To this day, no one is quite sure whether they were playing the parts of peanuts or potatoes.

Before becoming a full-time writer, Linda worked hard at being a normal adult by working in finance at a Fortune 500 company. She's an optimist at heart and likes to find fun in everything life throws at her. Linda loves her sweet cockapoo, Pepper, traveling, reading and yoga.

Linda's newest release is A Vacation With Strangers: Sisters are made in Heaven but so are thunder and lightning. Join the estranged Laverne sisters as they decide whether to repair their long lost relationships on the rolling seas.

Her novel Hello Jaynie! When your internal thermostat goes on a permanent vacation! It's the story of 2 friends, Jill and Jaynie as they navigate their lives through the threat of menopause.

Her full length memoir is A Bittersweet Goodnight. It is the Bronze award winner of the 2019 Royal Palm Literary Award in the memoir category. A tragedy precedes the entrance of a stepmother. What happens next is the journey of a lifetime.

An entertaining story about when life gets real. It's about a family, especially the mom, overcoming a series of catastrophes. They come together and find their strength to survive and even thrive. Jill meets some interesting characters and learns how to help others without sacrificing her own happiness. This book has heart.

What a refreshing read! And yes, men really do need to take “pause”! Linda’s writing and characters are perfect in this book. It’s a perfect blend of real life experiences and those that can happen if you just take a pause in life, no matter how or what. So many giggles throughout this lovely story. I highly recommend.
