Perfect as a continuance to yesterday's Edward VII, and before that, Young Victoria. Ooopins of cinematic footage here, and photographs from the archives, and to top it all Ralph Fiennes takes the voice of the Emperor.

Tell me this then tell me no more, was it really necessary to execute the Romanovs only to end up with this a hundred years later:

(piccie shamelessly skagged from the delighful Owlseyes)

Disclaimer: this youtube documentary is not the same as this book. Tames's Last of the Czars is only 64 pages long and would probably not be in depth enough for my tastes.

Episode 1 - Nicky and Alix

Episode 2 - The Shadow of Rasputin

Episode 3 - Death of the Dynasty
