For the 3 sets of books, we get to follow 3 different couples in chronological order. I thought it definitely delivered on the dark theme, but thought it could do better on building more of a connection between characters. I just felt it was all chemistry and "shared experience" based. It was a good read, but not meant to be a heartwarming romance. I thought book 1 was most exciting due to the world building, but it does read a bit forced in parts of the book. 3.5 stars

Crazy

Yes it has triggers but nothing to give me nightmares those dam father's were the unstable ones. I loved the ending it was good but nothing in life is ever perfect in life called reality. Loved this story I really loved theo story I don't know why but that was my favorite .other 2 were great too. And Carter.showed up and ryan small bit but I like her it's carter and ryan

In this trilogy we will meet a secret society, where the nobles dedicate themselves to trade with women as if they were cattle. They hand over their own daughters, either to marry well and bear sons to continue the legacy or to be sold as sex slaves.

Legacy of Succession (Dark Sovereignty #1) This is a very dark, raw and disturbing read. There is a lot of pain and drama in this book. It features very intense scenes of abuse, humiliation and torture. So be warned if these are triggers for you or just a huge turn off. Nicholas and Victoria must survive archaic family traditions, rules of a barbarous secret society and horrifying situations. It is a page turning, jaw dropper of a book. This book stuns with its complexities, shocks you with it's rawness, and moves you with hope because if love can blossom in these conditions, it proves that there is always hope for love. This book will leave you desperate for William's story!

Tainted Reasoning (Dark Sovereignty Book 2) This book simply blew me away. It offers readers a remarkable, unique hero, a beautiful romance and an all around gripping story. I admire authors that take chances with their characters. Real people came in all shapes, sizes and skin colors. They are perfect in their imperfections and everyone deserves to have the life the want, happiness and love. William is a character that stole my breath and touched my heart. I simply fell in love with him and was so happy that fate brought him and Tamara together. They made an amazing couple. There is lots of drama, emotional tension and shocking twists. I will say that this book is a dark romance so be aware there is content that is objectionable to some readers and some content that could be triggers for others, so do your research and think about it before reading this book.

A Father's Insistence (Dark Sovereignty #3) This is the intense, twisted and darkly delightful conclusion to this series. Theo and Joanna's story really moved me. From her suffering, to his ignorance of the situation, this lost pair were perfect for each other. There is of course, plenty of drama, suspense and emotional turmoil to grab and keep your attention. This has been an amazing series and this was a very satisfying and enjoyable way for it to end.

Legacy of Succession
This story is well written and has extremely interesting characters. It has twists and turns throughout the entire story. There are many triggers that some may not enjoy. It dark, gritty, and hard to put down. You read it and stay glued trying to find out what happens. The characters are extremely well developed with personalities that are felt throughout the story. You cheer, get angry, and happy all at the same time. It is definitely worth reading.

This was dark and full of triggers for some. The characters were extremely well developed with stunning personalities. There are beautiful personalities and dark twisted personalities. All of them can be felt throughout the story. The story is well written and the flow is superb. The storyline is unique with twists and turns. It is definitely worth reading.

A Father’s Insistence
This is the third story in the series and boy does it pack a punch with all the twists and turns. At first I didn’t like Theo's character as much as he seems so weak minded but as the story progressed we see him grow. Joanna is just as strong as Victoria and Tamara. I loved how the ladies didn’t let anything get them down. Yes, this series is darker and yes has triggers but it is a fabulous ending. A must read!!!!

If you are looking for a great book to read you need to check this author out because her books are amazing! The Dark Sovereignty is a great way to get to know this author's writing plus you get the whole series in one set.

Legacy of Succession is a dark twisted, fantastic read that had me captivated from page one. Loved the chemistry between Nicholas and Victoria and how no matter how much they fought it they were meant to be together. This author really knows how to pull the reader into the story taking you on quite a journey.

Tainted Reasoning is book two in the Dark Sovereignty series and follows Legacy of Succession. This series is fantastic! I love the characters, the story, and the writing is perfect. William and Tamara are great for each other and I love the way she accepts and loves him for who he is. Their story pulled me in from the start with each twist and turn in the takedown of the secret society.

A Father's Insistence is a dark, twisted fantastic story that had me captivated from the first page until the last. Theo and Joanna's story took me on an emotional ride and I loved every twist and turn along the way. This author really knows how to pull the reader into the story and gave us a perfect conclusion to the Dark Sovereignty series.

This is by far one of my favorite series of all time! I am absolutely in love with The Dark Sovereignty series and could definitely re-read over and over! If I get the opportunity to purchase these books in paperback, I will be doing so! I need them on my shelf! Legacy of Succession, book one in this series, lays the ground work with Nicholas and Victoria. Nicholas is set on bringing down the horrible tradition that Oakfield has for him in choosing a wife, which is far from the traditional sense, and book one is only the beginning! These books are a bit on the dark side of romance with lots of twists and drama, each one chronicling a new couple and their adventure against new foes who want to see the horrible legacies of Oakfield continue! I highly recommend and promise you will not regret picking up this boxset!

This is a trio of interlinking Dark romance books so dont read them if your hoping for some hearts and flowers romance. Theres none of that here. Ill be honest and say that some parts of these books are hard to read. Theres abuse, torture, murder, rape....etc so not a gentle read. Taking that all aside to just focus on the story of the lead characters for a minute and at the heart of their stories are ones of trust (if hard to come by) and love. They may have come to that through unconventional circumstances but thats what their stories come down too. Although i dont mind reading the occasional Dark Romance i think parts of this series were a little much for me. Still if you read it with an open mind im sure some people wont mind it

Riveting series..

This is a deliciously dark series...intense and suspenseful...

The author has created a fascinating world populated by an equally intriguing group of characters. Whilst each book focuses on a particular couple, there is a underlying storyline throughout the books, and all the main characters feature throughout.

There are secrets and truths revealed and more than one evil, manipulative foe to be vanquished... This was a riveting series, and I loved the epilogue, which provides a wonderful insight into the future of those characters left standing...I read these books originally as individual installments. To have now available in one boxset is a real treat.

Anna Edwards has created a brilliant dark Trilogy in The Dark Sovereignty Series.

When you are born into a life of evil that has been pre-determined for you and you either bow down to what is expected of you or try to make changes what do you do?

This series is not for the faint hearted but it tells stories of 3 couples who are linked by the past and the adversities they have to face. Are they strong enough to change the future?

This series had me hooked and reading late into a few nights to find out what happened next.

I can't say too much without giving away information but you want to pick this up. It's a great way to get all three books in one sitting. I had a hard time putting it down. It is dark and gritty but tantalizing and captivating and will have you on the edge the whole time.
