Excellent Book! I need part 2 asap!
In this book you meet the devil himself, Elim. A narcissistic man who has taken everything he could from his former gf, Shayne. Abusive, and pure evil, Shayne decides she had enough and takes the two children they share to go stay with her parents. That doesn’t stop Elim and he finds her quickly and this time it costs the lives of both her parents. Luckily thanks to Shayne’s quick thinking brother, she is able to make an escape with her babies and go on to live under the radar making a new life for her and her kids.
That soon changed though when her boss Rich Katri, owner of Katri realty wants his two nephews, Wylde and Woodrow to take over the business. After meeting Shayne, Rich’s hardworking realtor, Wylde falls for her and the same is true for Shayne. After doing a little digging on Shayne, her secret past life is exposed and the Katri men make sure to make life for Shayne and her kids much better and safer.
The men waste no time getting her and her family set up in a beautiful home and making sure to keep them as safe as possible from Elim. All goes well until Shayne lets her guard down, and falls into the trap Roisin(her old high school friend and currently Elim’s puppet) and Elim has set for her at a house showing.
Poor Lishan, Shayne’s receptionist and friend goes along with her and gets shot by Elim. Lishan has an entire story of her own. Being the sole provider and caregiver to her 3 younger siblings and making end meet by working for Katri realty and but by also entertaining male clientele In a business ran by Merlin and his mama. Lishan even started falling for the other Katri brother, Wood, but once he sees her other way of getting money, he spazzes and has no idea why she is doing it.
I sure hope Wylde rescues Shayne and the kids in time. I hope Lishan is okay from being shot by Elim.
I hated how Shayne let her guard down and fell into yet another trap set by her delusional ex. I also hated how Wood was so hands on with Shayne’s kids and active in getting her situated to be safe while completely dismissing Lishan, and not seeing what really caused her to have to hustle on the side. Wood was so quick to judge her but never once considered what was her reasoning.
I loved this book! The detail was incredible, the plot was thick from beginning to end. The character are excellent. I can’t wait to see what happens next and this is definitely a must read book for all urban fiction romance lovers! 10/10 stars!

I love how resilient Shayne has been throughout everything Elim has put her through and that she always put Santana & Storm first. Thank goodness for Uncle Nael bc who knows what would’ve happened. Elim is a sorry excuse for a man and a father who needs to pop his mama breast out of his mouth once and for all. Wylde and Wood definitely are Baes Wylde more than Wood in my opinion tho. Rich is definitely as solid as they come and I love t Shayne has all 3 of the Katri men in her corner. Bet Elim narcissistic self didn't plan on her having ppl who cared in her life after all the havoc and chaos he caused. Billie had to know her time was coming to an end but I am sad about their loss no one deserves that. The fact that Wood was falling for Lishan and didn’t give her a chance to explain is wild crazy bc he should’ve heard her out at least. Myra & Merlin definitely need to be eliminated at the same damn time. I admire Lishan perseverance and determination to keep her siblings with one another despite the hurdles she has to overcome to make it happen. I was loving Wylde up until Kaori showed up but i hope things get better for everyone by Elim, Kaori & Roisin. Ole girl is a pick me chick and they are the absolute worst kind. Whoaaaa! Shayne has been dealt a bad hand! Through it all, she took everything and changed life for her and her kids. Men like Elim should have been swallowed and I mean that in the worst way possible. His mother really isn't any better so I see why he's dumb and dangerous. What he don't know is he barking up the wrong tree! For all those kids lives, they had to deal with him degrading, disrespecting and abusing their mother. Now they have some kind of stability, he just won't let them be. The streets of Greenwich are about to be painted red behind Shayne and those kids. I feel so sorry for Lishan! Sis still was deep in the hood life having trouble finding her way out for the sake of her and her siblings. One thing I've learned about both Shayne and Lishan is they don't like putting their business in the spotlight and I really feel if she had at least told Wood what was up, there would have been a big turnaround. I hope what Elim did to her won't end her like the others all those years ago. She didn't even get a fair chance of life sigh! Nael and Rich are so real old school OGs! Shayne finally had a strong village behind her. Something tells me that Wood & Wylde's dad along with Kaori is trying to conjure up some mess! This is all bad and I pray there is a silver lining at the end of the tunnel. Good read

The Katri Men are about to rage war….
Baby when I tell you this book had me triggered I mean it literally. Shayne suffered through some traumatic experiences dealing with Elim and I was so happy she was able to get away even though it caused some great loss for her. Relocating with her kids was going so well then the devil himself pops right back up into the mix but this time she had sone powerful people backing her the Katri men. Shayne meeting and falling in love with Wylde was a complicated situation being as though he had some unfinished business with exes that he needed to clear up and get closure on. But now things have taken a turn for the worse with Shayne and the kids being snatched. Wood is my boy but he can definitely be immature at times. He has been hoeing around all his life and has finally caught feelings for Lishan and now his ego has been bruised because he found out about her secret lifestyle. Lishan is a young girl who has been dealt a bad hand in life and is trying to survive and take care of her siblings to the best of her abilities. Things between her and Wood have really taken a turn for the worse and now that she has been hurt he is definitely going to regret the way he handled her I just hope she is okay in the next installment.

Plot hole city!!
Soooooooo.....We got all this security for wheeeet?!?
The supposedly Alpha male ain't it.
Wylde gave me the ick the throughout the book. His initial introduction threw me off because he was flirting with her super tough & Wood had to be the one to drop the " fiance" bomb.
He should've done that wayyyyyy before asking her about her personal life.
I didn't like how passionate & determined he was about Shayne while he was with Billie. Then, the moment Billie maturely sets him free now he needs "space to think?" lol nig*a get the f*ck outta here!
Wood was right. Wylde doesn't know what he wants.
I wanted to respect Shayne for setting boundaries with him, until, a chapter later she getting her back blown out. I was so disappointed.
I could not have been the only one that didn't give a crap about Lis & Woods story.
I already know that book two is just going to be a filler of Shayne being back in captivity so there's no point in reading that one.
The only reason why I want to finish the series is to see if her father wakes up... Other than that, everything else can suck a fat one!!

Five Star Read
This is the first time reading a book from this author and I loved it!!!! Elim is a sick individual. After all the 💩 he put Shayne through he's still hunting her down. I like Wyld and Wood but their both on my 💩 list. Wyld done got away from Billie and now here come another ex that he's all cozy with while forgetting that Shayne is still in the building. Wood on some hurt people, hurt people mess. Cause things rocky between him and Lishan he just had to plant seeds of doubt in Shayne's head. The horrible things he said Lishan without knowing her story gonna gut him when he finds out he may not get a chance to ever apologize. I hope her and Shayne gets saved before it's to late.💕💕

This author is becoming one of my favorites. I'm going onto part 2, but here are some thoughts so far. Wylde has pissed me off with the way he's handling things with Lishan. No commitment was given, he's still playing the field but you mad cause she strips?? Then you go and blow up Woods spot by playing into Shayne's insecurities? Cause you mad? What. A. Jerk! Wood needs to be really clear about what and who he wants. Cause the ambiguity is loud and a total turn off! First Billie. Then Kaori. Shayne needs to make him WORK to get back in her good graces, but I'm sure she won't. This situation with Lishan is heartbreaking I want her to make Wylde grovel but I'm also sure that won't happen either.

Girl you did your thing! I really despised Elim as if I knew him! Poor Shayne she couldn’t catch a break! When she finally thought she was able to move in here comes the devil and his mom! Elim’s is the mom that every one says “Behind a sorry man is an even sorrier mother”. I really hope Wlyde can get to her before Elim and his mom ruin her! I truly felt bad for B even though Wlyde wasn’t in it just the fact that she decided to go through that sad experience on her own says a lot! Hopefully she makes it through. What I really want to know is will Lishan make it. Elim was weak for turning his anger on her. I’m hoping Wood sees what he’s missing out on in part 2 it seems like she’s good for him! Definitely a great read and I can’t wait for part 2!

I'm stuck!
Ms. Partee has done it again. She had left me here looking crazy as hell. Shayne has been through a lot, and you just want her to finally get her happily ever after. I'm glad she gained a small family with Rich, Wood, and Wylde. San and Storm are precious beings, and you just hate the fact that they will have certain memories concerning their sperm donor. The situation between Wylde and Shayne is going to have me pulling my hair out. I want him to be the one for Shayne, but his actions toward Kaori have me giving him a side eye. Now Wood and Lishan got me all in my feelings. I just want everything to be alright.

Omg this book was so good, that Elim ain’t no good I have a feeling he drugged her and that’s not good I hope not but he on coke so I feel like he might do it.. but that momma need to die . I don’t no what Wood and Wylde got going on with this fake as security because how Elim get to them both . And why did she request to call for help for Lishan I hope she doesn’t die. Honestly she should have told him she not going with him. I also think that should have had code words or something. We need part two asap

I can't stand Elim and his mom they made a big mistake. Wood and wylde and rich and Neal about cut up especially wood.i love wood and wylde but they made me mad. Wylde mess with his ex while shayne was in the building and wood on some get back mess because he is hurt and mad at lishan. The things he said to lishan made me want to reach in the book and slap him. He should have let lishan explain. I hope lishan sum how survive and poor shayne can't catch a break. Ohhhh! Come on!!!
I hate suspense so much but I can’t help it. This book was so good that I read it straight through without putting it down. Before I start a five star book I always flip to the end to see if it’s a continuation and I’ll wait for the books to drop because I HATE cliffhangers 😂😂. I forgot to do that this time and WHAM a doggone cliffhanger. I usually don’t write reviews but this one got me good. I can’t wait for the next one to drop. OMG my head is hurting. Partee you have literally made me sick. 😂😂 in a good way.

Dang!!
This was the first book that I’ve read by Ms. Partee and I was thoroughly impressed. It was well written, flowed well and definitely interesting. Shayne got caught up with the wrong man, had two children by him and lost a lot due to his abusive and controlling ways. After getting her life pretty much situated, she and her kids were put at risk again by Elim, but this time the Kapri family was there to help her out. Things hit the fan once again and that ending just messed me all up. I can’t wait to read book two.

Wow, this was good and now I'm patiently waiting on part 2. I just want Shayne to win. That Elim is a piece of work and I can't wait until he gets his. I like Wylde, but I need him to get a handle on these women and Billie left too easily, so I know she's waiting in the cut somewhere. Wood was foul towards the end, but he's hurt so I'll give him a pass. I hope Lishan be okay. Why do I hope Shane's brother Dimitri is alive somewhere! Good job as usual S.L. Partee

Shane getting caught up with a bomb baby daddy Elim caused her everything. Although she escaped his abusive hands he still lurking in the background waiting to get her back. Wood and Wild comes along and brings some happiness to Shane and kids but it’s only temporary. Omg this book has me on edge with all that’s going on but please don’t let Lashay be dead because she has her on problems and siblings to deal with. Great book need book 2,asap

I loved this series, I cannot believe after all those years that nigga is still pressed. I hope he gets what he deserves because those kids and Shayne do not deserve the bullcrap. His Mom is just as bad as he is, they both need psychiatric help. Awesome job, cannot wait until Part 2 comes out.

Oh no I hope somebody can help lishan out I hope she ain't go out like especially if she's expecting Elim is a wacko he need to get over it I hope all the katri men knock him out he need to go asap and roisin for that little set up she did shayne had been through enough already with his bullcrap..can't wait for the next read

This author has delivered a five star read with all the drama, secrets, lies, and drama I needed. Oh my goodness, this read is so good! I'm so amped for part 2. The author sure kept MT interest with the storyline. Wilde and Shayne I don't know where to begin. And with Wood and Lishan I just know its going down. With Wilde's ex back in the picture, I see lots of drama approaching. I enjoyed the storyline and the Characters.
