Unstuck nicely ties together concepts that will help people (thought leaders, professionals, or any human in general ) tackle the topic of growths and the pitfalls that become invisible obstacle in the way of success. In the model she provides insights and examples to help get through treating a clear concept of where you want to be and what you want to accomplish (Understand where you want to be), thinking about things in different perspectives (New thinking), Making achievable milestones along the way (Short Term Tentative Goals), getting out of your own shell - and your own way (Think and Act big), Leveraging situations and competition in ways that will benefit you (Unusual Moves), solving and approaching things in different ways (Creating New), and of course don’t stop by letting roadblocks shut you down - instead learn from it (Keep going). These concepts of course are not new, but Heather compiles them nicely into a package that is both actionable and helpful that will allow individuals to help themself to growth. There are plenty of examples and references through the book mostly geared to technology industry - but make no mistake these are mostly universal problems and solutions that are presented. I had the chance to meet the author and she is passionate about these topics, she was candid (both in person and throughout the book) in the struggles she faced that made her stuck. She provides examples of how she (and others) personally leveraged these concepts to push through to success. Good read if you are looking for the roadway to take it to the next level.
