The twist was predictable and the climax happened just a bit over half way through the book…

I love Linda Warren stories. Her characters and heroes are very well built and described, they are multilayered as life in general is. Her hero in this story had it very hard as a chikd living in the street and as a teen. He didn't know the meaning of love and the scen of Abi's kiss on his cheek really touch me. I also loved the description of Abi's inner struggle to deal with the revealed truth and I loved the way Jonas supported her. I also liked the decription of the poverty and the hard work and the Author was able to make us like a very obstinate tyranic person as we had another proof that nothing is spotless white or dark. I loved Jonas and Abby.
I hate this cover, I think it didn't reflect the characters of this story.
