This book was fantastic! I wanted to learn more about how glaciers shaped geology, and while this book was specific to Main, I felt Kendall wrote in a way that was still deeply informative for non-Mainers such as myself. Additionally, given the author's relationship with mining and when the book was written, I anticipated the book to strongly emphasize how humans can further extract resources, but the book took a surprising focus on landscape preservation. All around, it was a really enjoyable read!
