I visited the Museum in October 2015 and spent a couple days with M&M. I als9 sat on the bench and had coffee. As a professional WWII researcher, writer and teacher, i wanted to hear how Stein would tell the story. I shed a few tears during part of the book, but maybe because I know M&M and how they love our veterans and keep the stories alive. The book tells an interesting story of the war, Belgium and M&M along with many veteran stories. Good read and if you've never visited the museum.......it's a MUST VISIT next time you go to Europe.

Heartwarming & heartbreaking. I regularly only read Mystery/Crime fiction, so this was quite a departure from my genre norm. The engrossing history of a Belgium couple after WWII occupation. I do not read military, non-fiction but was fortunate enough i heard this described as a "love story" and I was intrigued. This is a love story on many levels. The personal mission of the M&M's to honor and show absolute appreciation and respect to scores of American soldiers who were involved in events surrounding The Battle of the Bulge is truly captivating. I couldn't stop reading. This story of the M&M's will stay with you long after you close the cover. Highly recommend.

During a trip to Europe to visit her brother's grave the in nearby Henri-Chappelle Cemetery, my grandmother visited the Remember Museum 39-45 and met the M&Ms. Their story is a great one and I am glad Mr. Stein took the time to record it. I hope I can also visit the museum one day.

Well-written, personal, a must-read for all individuals. A very valuable collection to WWII non-fiction literature. Highly recommended.
