Deep in the Louisiana wilderness, Game Warden Jennabeth "Radio" Rawlings suspects baseball pitcher Trey Middleton of illegal deer hunting, but can a man who is so damn fine-looking be guilty of a crime? Trey's mind is usually focused on his next ballgame, but the gorgeous game warden makes his hunting trip seem like a no-hitter. As love and deception entwine, will Trey clear his name or will their passionate romance be consumed by the fires of doubt?
I enjoyed this story with all the characters that were within. The two main characters that the story follows are Jennabeth Rawlings she also called "Radio," and Trey Middleton.
Trey is visiting a small town and trying out his hunting skills. This is the first time actually trying to hunt something in the woods. While hunting, he tries to shoot an older deer but misses and hits a young deer instead. When he gets to the deer, it is dead yet. He decides to also help the deer and takes it home. Miss Radio hears the shots and comes looking. She is out looking for a person who has been disobeying the law. She thinks he is that person, but he is not. He decides to help her find the person.
This was a fun story to read. It had action, adventure, drama, and surprises throughout. There were a few giggles and laughs within. There was a bit of a mystery within that was fun trying to solve.
I saw this story and decided to try it. This is my honest, unbiased opinion.
Loving Miss Radio by Jo Anne Barnes Enjoyed this read from the very start. I grew up on an island where they do hunt for deer but had never heard the phrase fire hunter. Loved learning about that, Trey and his baseball, I am a fan, and Dean who is Jennabeth's brother. Love twists and turns and just how capable they are. She fears he will just leave and never come back, especially when her brother takes a liking to him. She would hate that disappointment for him, just being a teen. Love locations, things I learned, romance and story line where there are others in the town that you also learn about. Would love to read more from this author, cheeks are not always rosy, love her words when she describes things. adult situations. Received this review copy from the author and this is my honest opinion.
