"This is a wonderful resource! I'm sure that memory systems, especially competitive approaches, have never been covered in such detail. People new to memory techniques and experienced competitors alike will be able to learn a great deal from this book." Katie Kermode, British memory athlete, 2012 UK Champion, top 25 IAM, holder of 4 IAM world records.
As a teacher and memory student, I needed a memory textbook, so I wrote one. I also needed design tools, so I wrote them.
I also needed a project to learn from, so I chose the Bible. I learned so much I wrote a tutorial and some exercises. I taught them to a few students, and it worked. These are the tools I included.
The tools are all generic and can be used by anyone anyway they want. You can be a beginner and take advantage of the decision tree and exercises, or you can be an advanced student understanding all the terms and finding new resources.
The tools are all consistently organized like a good database should be.
When this Toolbox is paired with my Memory Techniques book, you will have a collection of mnemonic knowledge never before collected in one place, let alone organized in a systematic way.
The best part of the toolkit volume is the Major System Toolkit which has not been seen in any form for over one hundred years and has been expanded and modernized for mnemonic students.
