This five star review is because I am a gardener, the target audience of this book and I can’t remember the last time I chuckled and chortled and laughed out loud as much as I did reading this. Des is legit and his humor is of a type that uses hyperbole to make his spot on points. Loved this book.

A gardening book that is intended as humorous and informative and I find to be neither. The guy obviously knows a huge amount about gardening, but not much of interest was conveyed.

Meant to be funny and helpful, it was neither.

Des Kennedy knows what it is to be a gardener. Funny and at times profound, this is a great book to read by the fire on a dreary winter's day.

A delightful book that can be picked up and put down, and always delights.

Des Kennedy's self-depreciating humour kept me in stitches. I have enjoyed all his books but this was, in my opinion, the best.
