I was a little disappointed bc this had so much potential and could’ve been 200 pages longer. I feel like there were a lot of loose ends that the author should’ve cleared up.
Fuck no, this is so badly written. The plot is frazzled and confusing - there are so many plot holes and some of it isn't even addressed - like the grudge the boys are carrying for Alexander, wanting to make him pay, but then nothing happens? Or how about when Apollo has his breakthrough? We're told it happened, but when? how? - for such a massive plot point it isn't mentioned. We needed more backstory of what happened with Athena and Cora?
Book 2 doesn't pick up where book 1 ended. I was so confused - even though I read them within 2 days of each other I had to go back to see if I missed a chapter at the end of book 1, because suddenly we've hopped forward in time with weeks without any context.
The POV changes within the same chapter, so we suddenly go from her perspective to his (which he we don't know) and back again in the same paragraph. Beyond my opinion on the terrible writing, the FMC is insufferable - she's meant to be this badass fierce woman, but immediately folds and forgives any and every betrayal and lie without any internal or external struggle. Pathetic.
This series needs major editing - the plot holes need fixing, inconsistencies in the narrative needs to be amended and the characters need to be further developed.
When secrets are finally revealed, things will never be the same. Ophelia has it bad for her guys but when secrets are revealed will she feel betrayed? Ophelia, Ares, Atlas and Apollo I just can’t get enough of. The spice is off the charts, just like their connection. I read this book in one sitting. Love these characters and didn’t want it to end.
I voluntarily reviewed this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Okay @Jillian frost you did it again 🤌🏽 this series was 🔥 I have to give it 5 ⭐️
The evolution of Ares 🤌🏽 and Apollo 🥰 Ophelia is one lucky lady! I read this in record time in one sitting and I’m not mad about it. Sad the series is over but I can’t wait for what you have in store next!
What a perfect end to a delicious duet! Ophelia and her guys are everything and their support of her as more twists and turns come their way is just amazing. • That SPICE! Lordy Jillian doesn’t sleep on the smut and this was no exception. The heat between these characters is always burning and I love it!
Oh my oh my!! Gilded goddess definitely brought the heat!! It was a nice conclusion to the Gilded empire duet!! Love love love these men and Ophelia!! Definitely check out this duet! Part two releasing 12/19!
Oh my 🥵 Gilded goddess was an amazing conclusion to this story. The heat in this story was amazing. Ophelia is a lucky lady. Apollo, Atlas, and Ares definitely stole my heart again. Jillian Forst you are amazing with these stories!
This was good and I enjoyed it but it felt rushed. I don’t feel like all the questions were answered and it should have been longer to tie up all the loose ends.
Omg I am absolutely obsessed with the series. I love how much ophelia grew throughout the book. I also love how much Ares, Atlas and Apollo have changed since meeting Ophelia. The love that all three men have for her is insanely beautiful! I highly recommend this book it’s a masterpiece you won’t regret it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
4.5 ⭐ This is a great conclusion to the first book. All the questions and plot twists are finally answered, and I gotta admit, I did not see some of them coming. I liked the spiciness of the book and the relationships each of the brothers was forming with Ophelia. Without spoiling anything, I do wish we had gotten more with one brother and overcoming his trauma, but overall, I think the author did a great job showcasing each relationship as distinct, as well as their relationship as a group.
