Arnie is excited about his new skateboard. When his friend Tina invites him to a nearby skate park, Arnie grabs at the chance. At the skate park, Arnie meets a gang of serious skateboards who do many tricks that Arnie hasn't learned how to do yet. The skate gang makes fun of Arnie and Tina. So both friends practice, practice, and practice some more. Eventually they become regular members of the skate park gang. But when the leader of the gang tries a very dangerous trick and hurts himself, Arnie is glad he didn't try to show off.

My 3 y.o. son is obsessed with skateboarding. He liked this book, although he was quite concerned when the cool guy crashed(as well he should be, since NONE of the characters in the book were wearing any kind of protective gear while doing skateboarding tricks).
