"His Other Secret" by Rylie Dark is the third book in the Jessie Reach Mystery series, and it's a gripping read. The story follows FBI Special Agent Jessie Reach as she investigates political murders. This time, she's tackling the mysterious death of a veteran lobbyist, with a strange figurine left at the crime scene, leading her into a web of puzzles and secrets. Readers seem to love it for its intense storyline and unexpected twists. One review said, "A brilliant book. I couldn’t put it down and I never guessed who the murderer was!" Another reader commented, "Great read! Jessie’s obsession with her mother’s killer continues… and the cliffhanger ending left me desperate for the next book!" Overall, it’s a well-written, suspenseful mystery that’s perfect for fans of political thrillers and anyone who loves a good puzzle. It’s engaging, full of surprises, and leaves you wanting more.

Jessie continues obsessed with finding her mother's killer and she believes her father knows more than he tells her putting even more strain on their relationship. The case the team force has to work on is focused on finding the killer of prominent figures in Washington, DC and even though they are working full time on it, the bodies are piling up. There are too many investigative forces pulling the case apart and working not always with Jessie but against her. The end is an unexpected cliffhanger that makes me wonder when will I put my hands on the next story!

These are fast paced and easy to read books that can be finished in one sitting easily. While the plots are not too complex, they are interesting and the characters add depth, they are all from different backgrounds and have different personalities.

It was ok? I listened to the audible version. I'm not sure why I couldn't "get into" it? The narrator, the story line? Or if it's because I started with book 3 instead of book 1?
