Disappointed with the moralistic application separated from the redemptive-historical meaning of this book. He explained the story’s significance in the life of Israel well, however, his application seemed amorphous and wildly therapeutic, making the reader centric in the book rather than God’s purposes.

I have owned this book for a long time and this was the third time I’ve read it over the course of the last 15ish years. Such a good book about the life of Ruth. And the real life application of the faith that takes place throughout it is a great value add!

I love the book of Ruth and his use of this book to minister about trusting God and waiting on Him without trying to "help" Him. :-)
