Kara is looking for someone who will play with her, but everyone tells her, "Later." She sees a big red blanket and begins to play with the blanket and the dog. Soon her other family members want to play with her.

It's great easy reader that circles round. The ending was slightly abrupt, but it works. The story invites imaginative play which is fun to see.

My son picked this out at the library. I think he was looking for some light-hearted mindlessness. After we read it we looked at each other like "Whoa, did that just happen?" *SPOILER ALERT* This whole book is about a shunned kid who rolls herself into a blanket and convinces everyone else that it's the thing to do. It was all well and good, but I can't imagine myself reading it again at bedtime. For a beginning reader, this would be ideal.
