This book has been sandwiched in my “to read” stack for several years. I pulled it out of the pile, looked it over and reluctantly began reading it. Much to my surprise, as a lay reader, I found the book to be very informative and well informed. The cover refers to the book as “a practitioner’s diagnostic reference”, but this is also handy manual for anyone interested in health and well being. The book provides guidance on quite a few deficiencies and diseases that can physically manifest via changes and abnormalities in the skin, tongue and nails. I was particularly interested in various maladies that can be observed through the fingernails. The illustrations in the book are very realistic, although they may be disturbing to some.
