Rate this book
Cargo Runner is the story of Jude Pierce who was in the Special Forces in Vietnam, and how his life changed when he returned to Los Angeles and his dad’s good friend Marvin, a high-ranking union representative got him a job working for Pan Am Airlines as a cargo runner.
It is an action-packed love story that shows how Jude falls head over heels with a Flight Attendant, Patina Jones. Cargo Runner is based in the early 80s when it was a norm to smuggle cocaine from Colombia, to Miami, and then into Los Angeles.
One thing leads to another, and while Jude is waiting to offload cargo from the Miami flight and drive it to the Pan Am Cargo Warehouse, a palette falls off the dolly. It turns out that the container has 200 kilos of Cocaine. He decides to steal the 200 kilos to take it off the streets. By stealing the Cocaine, Jude Pierce has actually enraged the Columbian Medellín Cartel and The Romano Crime Family that controlled the shipping docks in Long Beach. The Columbians were searching for their 200 kilos of Cocaine when they found out it was the Cargo Runner; ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE!
