This book was incredibly atmospheric, the descriptions dragging the reader into the story and keeping them there, enthralled. Zaya’s soul has been trapped in the underworld, and the author created this setting like something out of my nightmares. A maze of damp and mildewy tunnels, populated by vengeful spirts… horrifying!

There are so many twists and turns in this book, and it was a deeply intense read as Zaya struggles to fight against Morgomoth and save not only her friends but the world itself. There is so much action, along with a lot of political intrigue, not to mention plenty of magic.

A great read to get lost in!

Holy heck it only took me 3 days to devour the 3 books you've released in this series and deadset!?!
Whyyyyyyy do you hate Zaya so much to let her go through all of that 😭

What a wild ride this book has taken me on. There is so much action and intrigue. This book had me guessing throughout the entire time of reading it. I read it in a day just couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait for the next buck to come out to continue the story. I don’t want to give any details as to spoil this book for anyone but if you like political intrigue, some magic thrown in and a lot of action, this is definitely the book in the series for you.

I couldn't put the series down once I started, and this isn't even my normal genre I read. This series starts off strong and kept a good pace throughout the series.I loved the characters, banter, and the world building. I definitely didn't always see the plot twists coming, which was refreshing as well. I can't wait to continue the series as they come out and would definitely recommend this series, and it would be a perfect fall read!

This was my favorite out of the series. It was fast-paced, introducing more characters and twists to the plot. It also ended on more of a cliffhanger than the first two books, which I enjoy.

Best of the series so far with a major cliffhanger. Zaya continues to fight for all but struggles to stop the evil with a new challenge at every turn.
