Her Forbidden Firefighter is the third book in Traci Douglass’ Wyckford General Hospital series. It can be read as a standalone read although past characters do make appearances.
I immediately loved the characters of Luna Norton and Mark Bates. Luna is a physical therapist at Wyckford General and Mark is a firefighter who moved to town a few years ago. The two have seen each other around, but never truly have crossed paths. That all changes when Luna finds herself lost in the woods and Mark rescues her.
Luna and Mark are both in need of healing and of overcoming their past. They are also both in need of realizing that they are loveable and deserve to have someone truly love them. Her Forbidden Firefighter was a story that is rich on empowerment, love, and found family.

Her Forbidden Firefighter is Book 3 of Wyckford General Hospital series (Harlequin romance). It's a steamy, OTT, instalove, forced-proximity, girl gets her firefighter romance. Luna is a physical therapist. Mark is a hunky firefighter. Both have serious baggage and walls around their hearts, especially Luna. When Luna gets stranded on a trail, Mark finds her. They also help a runaway. Mark sees something in Luna, but can he break through her walls? This was a sweet and steamy romance with a happy ending.

Her Forbidden Firefighter is Book 3 in the Wyckford General Hospital series and follows mainly Luna Norton a physical therapist and Mark Bates a firefighter along with secondary character Astrid Jones a young transient girl. The three of them are brought together while in the forest, first when Mark comes upon Luna who won't admit she's lost then their run in with Astrid a young disheveled and skittished girl. Each character carries their own baggage as to why they react the way they do. Luna doesn't trust people easily especially men. When she meets Astrid she felt drawn to the young girl as she reminded her of herself especially at that age. Acting tough on the outside but vulnerable and scared on the inside. Mark has his own insecurities and doubts that haunt him even if people see him as carefree, happy, "Hottie McFire Pants” and a Dudley Do-Right. Together they work through their built up walls, doubts and insecurities to learn to trust and even love again.
Don't miss out on this sweet, funny, passionate and healing small town medical/firefighter romance that will have you feeling all warm and cozy.

This is book three in The Wyckford General Hospital series and it is Luna and Mark’s story. Luna is a physical therapist at Wyckford General Hospital and still had trauma from her past which put her off ever wanting a relationship or feeling vulnerable but while on a hike in the forest she seems to get lost and it is getting dark which is not helping her anxiety so when Mark arrives Luna is relieved but unable to show it but there is something about Mark that calls to her which she doesn’t want or like so she becomes snarky and defensive and when they end up having to camp out together because of a fallen tree Luna starts to panic but she had no choice but to hope that she can get through the night while keeping Mark at arms length like she does every one else except her parents and best friends. Mark is a firefighter and moved to Wyckford after his marriage fell apart and ended in a divorce so now he doesn’t date or want a relationship anymore after everything that he had gone through but from the time he met Luna he wanted to get to know her but her walls are so high around her that it will take someone really special to get her to allow anyone in because she always gives him the cold shoulder but when he is the forest checking the fire gates he came across Luna who he knew was lost but she wouldn’t admit it so because Mark is so protective and cares about people he stayed near to make sure that Luna was safe even though she made him feel things that he didn’t want or need. The more time that they spent together the closer they became especially as they found Astrid who is a runaway teenage girl who needed help and Luna could see herself in the girl so she gave her a safe place to stay and was determined to help her and that is how Mark became involved as well but Luna still tried to keep Mark at arms length because of how she was starting to feel about him but sometimes things happen that make you realise that you are even stronger together and the chemistry is unable to be denied. Even though Luna and Mark’s relationship had many ups and downs because of all there baggage and trust issues it was definitely not plain sailing but with communication between them they managed to sort out their feelings and eventually got the happiness and future that they both deserved after everything that they had both been through in their lives. This is a really beautiful story and I read it in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down and needed to see what the outcome would be in the end for Luna and Mark. I can’t wait to read more books by this author in the future.
Her Forbidden FIrefighter is a standalone contemporary romance by Traci Douglass. It's a small town medical/first responder romance. It's also a Harlequin Medical imprint and honestly, this is one of those more pleasant romances that is best described as a Harlequin romance. There is plenty of tension and a main character that continually fights her feeling, but all in all, this is a really sweet and pleasing romance.
The story surrounds physical therapist at Wyckford General Hospital, Luna. She's got some baggage in her past and for that reason is not keen on getting into a relationship. She is satisfied with her job and her friends and her home in Wyckford. Then there is Mark, he's one of the town's firefighters, he is good at what he does. He also has baggage of his own, though he is known as a lady's man, he also has baggage from his past that means that he mostly focusses on his career, much like Luna.
Mark and Luna are thrown together when Luna gets lost on a trail. Then a tree goes down, blocking the road into town. And then they accidentally find a runaway, who Luna immediately brings in, seeing parts of herself in the troubled teen. All of this means that Mark is close enough to Luna to know that he thinks that she is worth a chance, he just needs to get through her defences.
This is a fun story with a really nice HEA.

Luna and Mark have seen each other around the small town of Wyckford for a while now. Luna is a real prickly character, shaped mostly by her traumatic past. Mark is quite the golden retriever, but also has his insecurities and is the sunshine to her grumpy. Despite Luna's protests and stubbornness, they are very drawn to each other. Along the way they pick up teen drifter Astrid, whom they both want to help, Mark with his hero/protector complex, and Luna sees so much of Astrid in her own past, but to help Astrid she must confront her fears and trauma.
This was the second book for me from the Wyckford General Hospital series, but I have now read a few books from the author, of which all happened to be medical romances. I enjoy her writing style, how the characters are brought to life and they and the plots come together. I do think that some readers are not going to like Luna because she is terribly stubborn, but I think the side cast and their camaraderie helps keep the story light and fun. It was a short-ish book, and finished it quite quickly as I couldn't put it down!.

Mark is a firefighter. Wyckford General Hospital is where Luna works as a physical therapist.
The way they met was original and I could feel the atmosphere between them. I know I am coming in late to the Wyckford General Hospital series as this is book 3.
If you're looking for a realistic, witty, slow burn romance between essential workers, then this is for you. I hope to review more in the series. The book is short but the story is well developed.

This was a steamy rescue romance. Mark saves Luna after she’s lost, they are forced to camp, and injures herself. Although she rescues him too later on. They end up picking up a runaway Astrid. All three characters have been hurt in the past and have issues, but for Luna and Astrid that’s with trust. They both put up walls and push people away. There were a few suspenseful moments including attacks. It was nice to catch up with previous characters in the series. I would have liked an epilogue further into the future.
I really felt for Luna struggling with her feelings after Mark shows her in small ways he is someone she can trust, then we have Astrid who both Luna and Mark want to help. All three have a past they are working through and affects their decision making, unfortunately Astrid's might cause them all some hurt before Luna and Mark can cement their feelings and be able to see what real happiness is.

This is the third book in the Wyckford General Hospital, it can be read as a standalone story. The storyline was well-written and I really liked both Luna and Mark. Luna has had a troubled past and doesn't trust easily however being around Mark puts her at ease. Good Story.
That fight about lost or not and tree falling to cause them to spend the night in the forest. Finding a runaway and help her, but will it be good or bad experience? Read and find out.

Luna and Mark embody the phrase, "beautiful heartache". Douglass pushes emotional buttons while taking the slow burn route to romance. Her Forbidden Fighter speaks to the soul with endearing characters and a haunting delivery.
