Cons:
*The book's photos, though very good, are mostly in black-in-white.
*There are a few times where the book's sense of style seems dated.

Pros:
*Because of the nature of this decorating book (being about using found items in decor), most of the content is still relevant, making this a decorating book from the 1980's that's actually aged quite well.
*Many of the ideas in this book are actually very creative and inspiring (like using terracotta flue pipes as an umbrella stand or making a plush ottoman out of an old military parachute).
*Text is well-written and interesting.
*The book is very visually appealing, despite the black & white photos.

Yeah this is just an art book. Sort of an interesting time capsule since a lot of this stuff you can buy in Hobby Lobby now.

One of my all time design book favs. It's showing it's design age a little, but still an excellent resource for opening up your thoughts about those "things" sitting around your house.
