Applying the principles of Feng Shui, this book shows how to maximize the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of a home's space so that the cat and owner never again need fight for that favorite patch of sofa. The book introduces readers to the basics of Feng Shui, and shows how to track a cat's routine so that the home environment can be attuned to it. 200 color illustrations.
I picked this book up off the library shelves thinking, "wow, this sounds hilariously cheesy, I MUST READ IT!" I was pleasantly surprised as how not-cheesy it was. I stopped when I got to the last bit of the book about gardening feng shui, because my cats are indoor cats... and the book was due back to the library. :) It's cute, but I wouldn't say it's a must-read.
I assumed that it would be light reading as far as Feng Shui philosophy or theory goes, and I was right. This is more of a what-to-do book rather than why-to-do-it. The incorporation of the cat (and a few other household pets) as transmuters of chi was interesting and will definitely change the way I think of unseen energies in living spaces, but ultimately this book was oversimplified and instructional, rather than explanatory.
All that being said, this is the first Feng Shui book I've read and it won't be the last, so this book deserves some credit for what it offers: an introduction to Feng Shui.
