You don’t need to be a child to believe in miracles. Adults can also hope for their dreams to come true, especially when they involve becoming a parent. Before We Held You in Our Arms draws on the love and desire of parenthood long before the baby cuddles and snuggles. While the journey may be filled with challenges and hardship, the outcome is unimaginably wondrous. The greatest joy in life is holding you in our arms for the first time . . . and the second time. And for forever.
Before We Held You In Our Arms by Emily Feit is a children's lit story about the struggles to parenthood and the joy of finding holding a baby in their arms. While I have two daughters, I also lost five pregnancies along the way including our son. This is the type of book I could have used to explain pregnancy loss when my daughters were younger. The illustrations are bright and inviting and the story is easy enough for a young reader to comprehend.
