part advertisement for how great Marvel is and how supportive of cosplayers they are as a company, part guide to a couple of different cosplays of varying difficulties of Marvel characters. it's a little awkward, but it has a lot of enthusiasm.
there is one oddity in one of the tutorials: it's suggested to use wood glue as a primer over foam, then flexible paint over that, but wood glue is an inflexible glue when used as a primer, which means the flexible paint is pointless and the whole thing will crack under and pushing or flexing.
Informative for both Newbies and seasoned participants. Contains step-by-step instructions to make your own costumes, but obviously, they can be made to tailor the individual's tastes as a unique variation of the inspired costume/superhero.
Hey, this Goodreads entry needs a photo of the cover! I’m surprised this doesn’t have more reviews. Excellent book, even if most of the information could be found in better detail online or in non-Marvel cosplay books. 5/5 for the sheer volume of Loki costumes and the Travis McElroy jumpscare.
