Tremendously good paper art and a wonderful eye-opening book that points out that not all sounds sound the same to speakers of different languages - a simple but profound idea that makes you face your assumptions about the world and helps in a small way to see - or hear - things from someone else's point of view.

The illustrations are not very bright but collages and maybe harder to see. Lots of different languages for the same word and not only animal sounds. Large format.
Used story time 7/2011 good
