The People's War

Rate this book
In March 2020, the world entered a new phase none of us were expecting.

The entire world as we knew it began to suddenly change. First we shut down, then we began wearing masks, and soon we were even banned from traveling or being in the same room together. Isolation became the norm. For some, binging TV shows became a lifeline. For others, life only became more intense than before. Everyone reacted differently, and every country had their own rules.

This is not just the story of one woman, mother, wife, business owner's journey through the most life-altering year in recent history. It is a collection of stories from over twenty people worldwide sharing how their lives were affected by the Coronavirus. From an ER doctor living in Brooklyn, New York, to the General Manager of the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs in Australia, everybody had a life-changing experience. It is a story of sorrow, of love, of compassion, of fear, and of hope. We know what happened on the outside world, but what happened behind closed doors? Inside these pages you will learn the power of the human spirit and the will behind these men, women, and children who made it through the year. You will witness how a war for the human race was fought, and how the world was changed forever.

The recent pandemic was a challenging time for everyone, with millions of lives disrupted by illness and loss.

But even when things are at their worst, there is always hope. And the stories in this book are proof of that.

We hear from healthcare workers who put their own lives at risk to care for patients, families who were separated, and businesses that had to close. But we also hear stories of tenacity, optimism and solidarity.

Great read!!!!

This is a very intriguing read looking into the day-to-day, lives of people during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was quite refreshing to see how this affected others differently than it affected myself.
