The only family she knows is trying to kill her. Frightened young Millie was abducted as a child from a small village, her parents murdered in front of her. She soon found herself in an orphanage, under the care and protection of a kind woman with a mysterious past. Life at the orphanage was happy, and Millie grew close to her new family.
The children had a classical education but were also provided unconventional skills, including weapons training and hand to hand combat. Years later, Millie’s life is shaken up again, when she learns they are to become child-soldiers for a sinister organization. Breaking free of her programming, she escapes and now finds herself in the crosshairs of the powerful puppet masters. How can Millie expose the ones responsible, to save her friends and stop more children from being taken?
Read Execution Style today, for a tightly-paced thriller that grabs a hold of you, and won’t let go until long after you’ve read the last page.
Allen Manning grew up in Las Vegas, raised on a steady diet of Saturday morning cartoons, video games, and tons of action movies. He also became a fan of fiction books while he was young, reading science fiction and fantasy adventure stories.
Now, he writes together with his twin brother, Brian Manning, to create fast-paced thriller books, filled with quippy dialogue and action movie inspired sequences.
I loved reading the kickass action of the story. I didn't care that there's no real depth to all the sacrifices made by the main characters heroism. I really thought this story would be full frontal action packed completely vengeance justified and the threat no longer in motion. There's alit of action but no real storyline to grasp in. Just different bouts in time of the process of the fate of Millie and so on and on. I really think the author was at a brain fart, because if there isn't more to discover and follow through then this book is far from being great as it could be. It started out very well, but fell short of the suspense built up during the process of describing weapons and battle techniques.
An AM. & BM. Combat Training System That Turns Young Children Into Combat Soldiers (ES)
AM. & BM. have penned a combat training System that turns young children, boys and girls, into combat soldiers. The children are taught offensive and defensive readiness in a variety of self defense programs, weapons, computer operations and how to hide in plain sight. One young girl becomes one of the best and after she has eliminated numerous targets she becomes a target worth millions of dollars. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
This is a exceptional action packed thriller from the Manning Brothers. It follows Millie from the age of eight, when she was taken from her village as it's adult inhabitants were murdered, until the age of eighteen, when she's running for her life from the same organization that raised, programmed and trained her to be a "soldier". It held my attention throughout and has me looking for more from this writing powerhouse duo.
Oh my goodness...I absolutely loved this story. I couldn't put it down. The characters and their stories were sadly believable. I would love a sequel or two. Maybe a backdrop into Kat9 & Olivia. And of course, more of Millie & Leticia's future. Keep them coming.
Another great read from the chaos creators. Such imaginative plots, maybe. Each book is entirely believable. This is filled with strong, capable women. Good choice guys. Would like to know more about Millie's future.
The editing needs some work. Spell checker is not your friend. This book ties into the John Stone and Chance Hunter series, good work. Makes fiction almost real. Looking to more from 9 Mill.
