what a great reference! i bought this only one day before i left for my travels, meaning that i had my trip all planned out (hotels, sights, etc), and thought that it might be some remotely useful during my trip. it turned out that it was extremely useful-- it lists hotels and restaurants candidly (the establishments do not pay to get advertised here) and provides nice short descriptions of sights to see, beaches to visit, etc. it also tell syou the history of the island, and other really interesting information. maybe all travel guides are like this, but i wish i bought this when i was planning my trip!

if all the Let's Go guides are like this, i will certainly be using them for my next trip. make sure you get the latest edition, so that the price ranges they list are up to date.

My friends know that I am somewhat of an expert on travel to PR...this book kind of sucks. I bought it because my Lonely Planet PR was from 2004 and usually I think publication date is more important for a travel guide than anything else. But not this time. You would be better off with the old LP than this guide. Although a new LP PR is coming out this year, so if you can wait for it, do that.

This is a helpful guide to visit the island. It has an interesting plan to visit the most prominent places and helps the traveler get the most of her time.
