Time skips galore in this volume and they’re not exactly well depicted. They’re also implying a lot of character growth and connection during these implied time skips which isn’t shown past an off hand comment.

They also increased Jeanne’s horniness which kind of sucks. She should be a really cool character and they already have Eve to fawn over Ast. Jeanne’s a loli but it isn’t just in outfit, or speech, etc. Which I can handle it’s the whole kit and caboodle which leaves her feeling exactly like a child but with her age scratched out and adjusted to be ‘legal’. It’s icky.

Over all this volume feels rushed and jumpy like the mangaka just wanted to get to their favourite parts and meet a page count. The neat ideas and potential are still sitting in the background but it’s overshadowed by its flaws.
