This was really good but didn’t really explain how to deal with those relationships instead it was simply just remove them.

There are just some relationships you cannot remove from your life and I would have loved to see just how to deal with those people.

The book was spot on when describing a narcissist. Gas lighting, ignoring issues, and belittling are all common tactics a narcissist employs. Again it would have been great if they said when they do this you do this instead to shut them down.

To be honest this book feels fever dream, looked into it but it has a lot of holes. First the author speaks as if she sure like a medical doctor (Hint upon research, she has absolutely no experience in the medical field, yet alone psychological field.) On top of it not directly explaining how to deal or survive, it takes a view from a victimhood point of view. Avoiding reality of dealing with your problems and completely avoiding them for your 'PEACE". Which no registered therapist, nor psychological doctor would ever recommend just running away from your problems and treating everything else like it's the problem. In my opinion after reading this book, I get the sense the author wrote this as a sense of validation, to be seen, was alone in her journey, and just needed to share it with others, for it to be real, outside of her own reality. Only book where I left questioning why I kept victimizing trauma. Went to my own doctor, and they said this was an absence of accountability with my own actions. And that blaming everything else for my problems ... is a Narcissistic tendency! I'm convinced that this author is deflecting how they feel about themselves onto others, so she doesn't have to deal with the reality, that people are allowed to have reactions. And most of the time their reactions are due to her behavior. And making others the route of problem for their reaction to your mistakes. Is manipulative and this is clearly self-esteem enhancing (trying to make yourself the victim in the story). And quite frankly never taking responsibility or accountability over your own actions / never accept the blame. In fact, it's always someone Elses fault in this book. Which any psychologist would tell you are the main traits for a narcissistic personality disorder. So please take my note don't buy this book, seek medical and professional, this book will just make you avoid things form your past, not conquer and experience mental and physical freedom. By the time I finished I felt like I can't believe I just dedicated my time to reading this book that is so clearly a money ploy, on top of trying to establish creditability, with no help, to anyone struggling with trauma from these Narcissistic people in your life. And after just a small search report on the author revealed her real name which is Christy, and from the marriage and divorce records, she has been in two previous marriages both ending in divorce, as well as another arrangement that didn't even make it to marriage. 3 failed marriages later and yet she is the one that survived a Narcissist, yeah right. I think the only one who survived a Narcissist, are the men that were able to get away and free from this corruption and manipulation.

Solid Advice

Thoughtful analysis of narcissism. This book identifies the issue in a thorough manner. A narcissist is more than a catch all category for a bad partner. Gaslighting is more than just a discussion of competing views. This book provides tips to identify if you are trapped in a relationship with a narcissist and more importantly provides advice on how to separate and heal.
