Daisy is safe. For now. But the evil of The Order and the secrets of their kind are very much alive and threaten everything Daisy has fought to protect.
Daisy and Lucas do not have a typical relationship. Theirs is unlike any other stories I've read to date and I LOVE them.
Pros: first, Monochrome answered questions I was left with after In Gray, so that's always a perk. Second, those answers were in ways only an active imagination like Bernhardt's could do!
I loved how she was able to construct an intricate plot with deeply developed characters and timelines without it being muddled or confusing. The depth connected me with Daisy the most, but I also loved the relationship she has with Jess.
I'm fascinated at the plot itself and I don't want to give it away, but the mysticism utilized. It's not your normal fantasy!
Cons: Aside from wanting to know more about this world and the resolution at the end of Monochrome, I can't think of any. I always do a pros/cons format though, so I had to find something!
Conclusion: If you're craving a fantastical, paranormal, romance that isn't super heavy on romance as much as two souls desperately trying ti figure out why their worlds are keeping them apart, you need to read this. The overall relationship structures between everyone, the amount of love in every way, and the creativity definitely will make this worth your while!
In the highly anticipated second book in the Fight Against Fate series, our feisty antagonist, Daisy Carmichael, is safe from The Order for now, but her mysterious boyfriend Lucas needs her help. Short chapters make this book easy to read for someone like me, who has little free time. There is plenty of action to keep it interesting, and the character development is on point. I especially enjoy the sister-like relationship between Daisy and her best friend Jess. I look forward to the next installment in the series.
This reward winning book is amazing. The love story between Daisy and Lucas face many challenges, but their love is strong. I highly recommend you read book one and two. I can't wait until the third book comes out.
