This book serves as an excellent introduction to Rosh Hashanah for the youngest readers, featuring colorful illustrations and large, simple text. It depicts a happy, diverse extended family celebrating in various ways, allowing readers to infer that these practices are part of tradition. While the book may be too simplified for those seeking a deeper understanding of Rosh Hashanah, it is a wonderful addition for families who already celebrate the holiday and are looking for a brief story to enrich their collection for babies and toddlers.

This book conveys so much joy, love, and culture in a tight, rhyming package. Combined with the beautiful illustrations, it's really impressive. One of the few books I willingly read over and over again on request this year.
