Wer so spät segelt
...hat meistens einen triftigen Grund - zum Beispiel, weil er tot und am Steuerrad festgebunden ist. Nun war die Barbe-Rouge-Reihe bisher mehr an Abenteuerklischees als an Übernatürlichem interessiert, daher wundert sich der Leser etwas. Doch das Auftauchen des Phantomschiffs, dessen Geschichte man in The Phantom Ship ausführlich nachlesen kann (auch wenn sichs, ehrlich gesagt, nur für Hardcore-Seeliteratur-Freunde lohnt), ist eine nette Abwechslung. Auch dass man zumindest für die erste Hälfte mal wirkliche Piratenaction, inklusive einem Überfall von Vera Cruz, zu sehen kriegt, und nicht Erics etwas nervende "ich bin was besseres"-Attitüde, hebt den Band hervor. Ich lese es gern!

Scénario un peu décousu... L'histoire ne semble sur ses rails qu'à la fin, à l'annonce du prochain épisode. Espérons la suite meilleure. A noter qu'Eddy Paape remplace Hubinon au dessin sur un quart de l'épisode.

Opening story that sets the stage for the hunt for Captain Morgan's treasure in Tierra del Fuego. The purpose is primarily to move the pieces to their positions before the actual quest begins. That makes this a little unresolved, but the next album will probably fix that.
