Interesting blend of science fiction and mystery. Private investigator Sandor Dyle is on the maiden voyage of the new starship Helen when the highly sophisticated computer system, Eco, is destroyed by an explosion. Not long after Magnus Mercator, ex-dictator and wealthy investor in the starship, is found dead. Are the two events related? Who is responsible? Ser Dyle is a pattern analyst who searches large amounts of data to discover anomalies to help reveal the truth.
