“The Energy of Success” by Rebecca Ahmed is a great resourceful book on workplace motivation and managing stress and productivity through energy elements. The entire scaffold of the book is built on energy parameters, as the author asserts that if energy is low or destructive, chances are that no one will be happy at their workplaces and this goes for all, from junior employees to team leads to business leaders. Since in this world everything is associated with energy, and workplaces aren’t any exception.

The author plays between destructive and constructive energy modules, however, in between she reveals many energy zones and solutions that can really helpful anyone leverage their constructive personal energy for full optimization that will be reflected in the productivity cycle.
There are many strategies and ideas that you can take from this book to use in your everyday life, in order to be successful, I really feel that the coverage on Safety and Compromise Zones is highly useful. Imposter syndrome and limiting belief is an insightful learning that I got from the Safety Zone. I think the book sheds best possible light on “Seven Zones of Energy” and within each zone, solutions are given to improve and shift the energy from destructive to constructive or to get rid of negativity totally.

The book offers quite a good number of strategies, energy secrets through the author’s personal experiences and references from around the world. When we go to work, we seek growth and try to level up with productivity, however, not many knows that even personal energy level matters above all skills and extra-curricular activities. The book brims with transformative strategies for professionals because workplace motivation plays an important role in augmenting productivity.
The author, from all zones, lists out core factors that inherently form that zone, and that is an excellent way of delivering information in a simplified way. The book explains intrinsic and extrinsic energy-levels for motivation and how it affects you. This book should get you up out of bed and motivated to take on the world because it is true that for success, we need positive and constructive energy.

I have been going through some work drama lately, and this book has been a LIFESAVER. Ahmed walks through ways to identify how you react in stressful work environments and what reactions service you or are potentially toxic. I loved her real-life examples that really put me in the moment and could easily be applied to my own career. I highly recommend it to anyone trying to figure out how to have more work/life balance and overall manage their own energy when facing a challenge at work. I am going to revisit this book in the future whenever I am dealing with stressors at work!
