EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!
People—children—in Cherokee, North Carolina, are dying. Murdered.   The police say things are under control, but the death toll is climbing.   Enter Carl Spaberg, ace legend in his own mind.   Carl doesn't know why his bosses have sent him to Cherokee, nor does he care. Recently blackballed down to tabloid status, Carl only wants one to break a story so big and juicy it'll catapult him back into the big leagues—and he's not going to let a little thing like the truth stand in his way.   But when the case involves an obnoxious investigator, the world's oldest car thief, and a thousand-year-old ogress, isn't it possible the truth may actually be stranger than fiction?
  Beware the thunder!

Lifelong reader, recently turned writer, my friends were surprised when I turned to writing horror. They remember me reading a lot of Sci-Fi while growing up. And I did. But there was an awful lot of Fantasy, Crime, Mystery and, yes, Horror in the mix.
Though I do have a few non-horror stories in my head and fighting to get out (I started this ride writing a series of Sci-Fi shorts to read to my son at night), most of what I write about comes from the darker side of life. And unlife. I'm going to just keep sprinkling material onto the mulch pile in my mind and see what comes up.

Wow, what a vivid writing style!
This was the first time I held something that Rob's pen had produced. From the very first page, "Spearfinger" throws you into a world where the lines between murder mystery and supernatural thriller blend, all while being drenched in chilling splashes of horror and mystery. Set against the atmospheric backdrop of Cherokee, NC, within the jurisdiction of the Qualla Boundary tribal police, the narrative is as rich in cultural and historical references, as it is in suspense. The growth journey of the investigative newspaper journalist Carl Spaberg is well presented and unfolds naturally as the story progresses. The vernacular used is authentic, adding another layer of depth to the setting and the characters.
One of the standout features of "Spearfinger" is its dialogues.
Each chapter is well-crafted and builds suspense. Just when you think you've got a grip on the story, Rob throws in a cliffhanger that leaves you hungry for more. It's a book that's hard to put down, not just because of the gripping plot, but also because of the native folklore mystery that the author has melded into this work.
⚠️ Lastly, a word of caution: after reading "Spearfinger", thunders will never feel the same again!!!
👉🏻 To conclude, it's a supernatural, must-read thriller!
I award his work 5 stars, absolutely well-deserved!
