Dangerous Truths, the initial installment in Kris Butler's Dark Confessions collection, takes you on a journey through the darker side of life. Deeply depressed, Loren is faced with a multitude of situations that force her to out of her comfort zone. Coupled with her "awakening" she also comes face to face with the darker side of her personality. Dangerous Truths examines socialital norms, personal boundaries and the lengths we will go to protect ourselves and those we care about. It is a raw and unfiltered novel, bringing to light many of the issues others keep hidden. If you can stand the heat, it is definitely worth reading!
Kris Butler does it again with her second installment in her Dark Confessions Collection. Dangerous Lies takes us on a roller coaster ride that keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire way. Ms. Butler obviously doesn't pull punches. This book will have you laughing, crying and occasionally throwing things. It is obvious that she puts her heart and soul into her writing. It is raw, brutally honest and unforgiving. At the same time, it is healing, a true testament to those who have gone through tragedy and come out stronger on the other side. As she warns, it does end on a cliffhanger, but that just makes me want the next book more.
The storyline is well-paced and exceptionally well written. It is filled with danger, intrigue, politics, organized crime, subterfuge, love, personal growth and lots of hot romance. There are so many POVs in the story, but she weaves them together seamlessly. I love that each guy gets to have his own POV. I think it really adds depth and meshes well with Loren's tale. The characters are well developed and engaging. Each guy brings something different into Loren's life. I especially like Jude and Immy's stories including the one they are gradually creating together.
Dangerous Vows, the third installment in Kris Butler's Dark Confessions series, is an amazing addition to her fantastic collection. Catching us after the previous awesome cliffhanger, this book will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end, then throw you off another cliff! But it is so worth the ride, and will keep you asking for more. The storyline is fast-paced and very well written, filled with danger, attempted murder, mafia politics, intrigue, subterfuge, romance and super hot sex. The characters are well developed and engaging. It has been great watching Loren develop into the woman she has become. Her leading men are all stars in their own right. It is good to see Atticus finally start dropping the mask, and the boundaries that go with it. Jude and Immy are absolutely delightful.
Dangerous Love, the fantastic finale for Kris Butler's awesome Dark Confessions collection, is everything I expected and so much more! This book will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The storyline is fast-paced and very well written, filled with murder, danger, intrigue, subterfuge, mob politics, hot sex and romance. It is sure to have something for everyone. It is great to see Jude and Immy coming into their own, and to watch their sweet relationship develop. Loren keeps getting stronger, and her guys are even hotter. Will their strength and love be enough to finally overthrow Dayton? Or will Dayton's schemes succeed, allowing him to reclaim the Mascro Empire? Overall, an excellent ending to an exceptional series!
I definitely recommend this omnibus to anyone willing to take a chance and examine the darker side of life and love. It is well worth the ride!

Wow! Just wow! I am completely blown away by this series. Loren story was heartbreaking, but I adored how she found love with 5 guys, and she finally got to be a mum. Probably not the way she had always envisioned, but still. I loved that Dayton and Darren both got their comeuppance. And I'm excited for more Jude, Immy, Elliott, and Pixel. Can't wait
