Silently but fervently wishing it would become more, Brooke Peyton agrees to Alan D'Aprix's offer of a marriage in name only. Forced to recuperate in his French Riviera home after an accident, she had written him off as a shallow, jet-setting playboy. But not anymore. Now, she is in love with him, just like beautiful, ruthless Monique Chere. How long can Brooke pretend indifference toward a man who doesn't love her--or, at least, who doesn't seem to love her?

I really enjoyed this book by Irene Hanson. The main characters meet in an accident. Brooke is walking and Alan accidentally hits her. He is a rich man and pays to take care of her and meet her needs. Brooke agrees to get help from Alan and even agrees to marry him for a supposed business deal. Brooke falls in love with Alan and thinks he will never love her as he has a reputation as a playboy/above her league, but he is not that way at all. Alan falls in love with Brooke and doesn’t know how to express himself to let her know. Clean read and great story

I have read a lot of Irene Hannon’s suspense novels and had no idea she wrote faith based novels. Since it was written in 1985, it is a bit dated but in a good way.
Due to misunderstandings and drama caused by others the relationship between the main characters almost ended before it began. It started out as a romance but ended as a second chance story.
It was a good read and the back drop of Paris, Monaco and other European locals that the author described so well you want to get the n a plane and travel right away!
