About the author

Jacquelin Thomas is an award-winning, best selling author with 94 titles published. Her books have garnered several awards, including two EMMA awards, the Romance In Color Reviewers Award, Readers Choice Award and the Atlanta Choice Award in the Religious & Spiritual category. Jacquelin was a 2005 honoree at the Houston Black Film Festival for the movie adaptation of her novel, Hidden Blessings. She was the first recipient to receive the Writers Achievement Award at the North Carolina Book Festival in Winston-Salem. She also received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Romantic Times Magazine.

Jacquelin has published in the romance, women's fiction, inspirational and young adult genres. Her second book in the YA series, Divine Confidential was nominated for a 2008 NAACP Image Award.

Jacquelin is happily married to her best friend and is the proud mother of three children. Jacquelin and her family live in North Carolina.

Rylee is a federal agent whose identity has been compromised, so she finds herself on the run, with the assistance of former US Marshall Kaleb Stone.

From page one, this book had me on the edge of my seat. It was action packed, sprinkled with a little bit of flirtation, although there wasn't any time for that. The one thing I couldn't figure out is, how do they continue to finding Rylee. Who and where is the leak? I immediately added this to my Best Read Books of 2024.

Do yourself a favor and go get this book. You'll thank me later.

It seems as if @jacquelin.thomas pen continues to go to the next level, and I can't wait to see what she does next.

Trust No One
Places in WITSEC for safety reasons. What does Rylee, AKA Rolanda, do when, at every turn, she has to run for her life?
As I delved into the pages of this book, the lyrics of the song 'Bad Boy What You Gonna Do, What You Gonna Do When They Come For You' Echoed in my mind. Rylee's response was not to cower, but to fight back, with or without assistance. Her unwavering determination and love for her mother became her driving force, keeping her in the battle until the very end.
The cover is very ominous; the story does not disappoint.

Protecting a strong woman is not easy. Kaleb met his match in every way when he vowed to protect Rylee as a promise to his friend.

I love how Rylee reminded him that she wasn’t a prissy woman sitting around panting her nails. Her Glock was loaded and ready to fire.

There were also some surprises in the story that revealed people are not always who you think they are no matter how long you’ve know them or how close you think you are to them.

I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to readers that enjoy action/suspense.

Once again this author has written another suspense storyline. The plot was excellent and you can tell the research was done thoroughly. I was drawn right in from the beginning until the very end. Usually I can figure out who the suspect is but I was surprised who was behind all the killings and having a mole in the agency.
I highly recommend this book to read especially if you like mystery, suspense and thriller storylines.

I had a hard time finishing this book. The story is ok but relatively predictable such that I was just shaking my head that they couldn’t figure out who the mole was. I also didn’t like the MFC, Rylee. There wasn’t enough to make I the romance believeable.

Action Packed

I enjoyed the exciting journey in this novel. The female protagonist wasn’t very likable to me, but her personality pushed the story into its excitement.
