Charlotte Parker is famous on Wall Street for two things; measuring risk and developing radical technologies. So when her beloved father, Edward, falls gravely ill and his mysterious nursing home roommate, Earl, offers her a deal to save him, she jumps at the chance. But now the man the media calls "Charlotte Parker's imaginary friend" has disappeared, leaving her to face investors who want to bankrupt her, a frenzied world that refuses to believe the mythical invention in her possession isn't hers, and a man who just might be the love of her life...if she'll risk her heart. It just might be worth losing everything to convince her father that in order to swing on a star, you must first take a leap of faith.

Another random library pick up. I was very unsure reading the first chapter, but once the story started, I was hooked. And it was a lovely deep, mysterious, loving, fantastical story that I am so so glad I read! I couldn't put it down in some stages, and it was the first book in a while that I just had to stay up to the early hours reading it. It was sweet and hard and sad and scary and thrilling and epic and personal - all at once. Really I cannot explain it, you should just read it.
